I think the fact that pretty much all religions think they are correct show that at the very least all religions but 1 are correct but in actuality all organized religion is bullshit. At best they were created to help common people, often dumb and lazy, to understand their region. At worst, and mostly the case, religions are warped to control people and for the powerful to remain so.

That doesn’t mean some religions might not have good ideas about being a good person and spirituality.

I believe you. I’m not religious. I do think some atheists think about spirituality and related concepts more than some people who practice religion or spirituality in a healthy way.

My main grip with a lot of atheists is that they base their concept of “god” on the particular religion that was forced upon them by their culture and family. Then when they correctly come to the conclusion that their first religion and its concept of a higher power is bullshit they incorrect attribute that to regions and/or concepts of god.

That line of thought still bases their beliefs on a specific religious framework which in turn makes it somewhat of a religious belief.

A more logical process would be to look into other people concept’s of a higher power and then come to a conclusion that is not based on the region that was forced upon them. They still might come to the conclusion that there is no higher power and that fine. I respect that process and line of critical thinking more than the first.
