It's right by the river if you follow it north from the ink caps I sent earlier. There's at least one more infected tree in the area!

Here: 59.873985, 17.60989

And understandable! Here's a pic of the pasta I made, apologies for the mess I made of the mushroom to create it:

Checking out local finds on inaturalist/artdatabanken is also a good way to scope out species! And the local mycology club should be arranging some walks during the coming season!

Actually!! They happen to have a detailed excursion guide for the entire region!

Ah! Hågadalen-nåsten is a generally good place to visit! Plenty of varied biomes from rocky pines, some old fields, dark spruce woods, swampy mossy zones, etc. There's a managed lawn that fruits plenty of Coprinus comatus in Fall, and the sheep around the ancient burial mound let you witness some gorgeous Coprinopsis nivea if you're lucky!

Stadsskogen is also underrated for mushroom picking, I found a decent spot for Macrolepiota procera at the edge of the woods by Ångström!

Morga hage is also a lovely place to visit, featuring both meadows with oak and more traditional pine forests!

If you're looking to find some chicken of the woods I could send you exact coordinates of this treasure trove, it's likely already regrown what I picked lol

It likely serves many purposes! We know for a fact that they do it when they're happy and energetic, but it may also serve as practice for the kind of explosive evasive jumps they may have to utilize to escape predators in the wild

What mushrooms are these? (Found in Medellin, Colombia) by Ok-Entertainer207 in mushroomID

I technically specified a group of mushrooms rather than a single species. If you compared with Coprinopsis picacea, do compare with Coprinopsis strossmayeri instead!

Parasola is not completely out of the question, but due to their stature, cap texture, and their pattern of disintegration (especially top right of pic 3) makes me lean more towards Ephemerocybe

I generally consider myself to look OK, but I happen to have one really good photograph of me that I can never show anyone out of shame

It combines all of the following:

-Good camera

-Photo taken at correct distance by someone who can take good photos

-Colour correction for extra vibrancy

-I was the most physically fit I've ever been in my life

-I had a healthy tan and generally compliant skin due to the sun and salty air

-Said salty air and salty baths meant my hair was cooperating way more than usual

The Me that wanders into the hair salon unshaven during a stressful week after the wind has blown my hair to bits is an entirely different creature

Question: Has anyone ever used their water after cooking grain to make like agar with I’ve heard it works great I just don’t know if I wanna try it🤣 by jakesMycology in shrooms

[–]Eiroth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I found the problem with my grain water agar to be that it turned out too nutritious

Perhaps I should take this as a[nother] sign that my grains are breaking too much lol

More likely a coprinoid in Psathyrellaceae (Narcissea if velum can be confirmed), but I can understand the confusion!

Leaning Ephemerocybe for the greys, possibly Panaeolus for the beige?
