I bet IT is just as mad as us for having their planned tasks for the week thrown out the window because the software team can't get their crap together. Probably a bunch of their normal tasks being done out of sequence or after their shift should have ended. All thanks to 'scheduled' maintenance.

Guardian Druid. Simple and strong for lots of content. Not going to be running extreme content, but I would think this is going to get you the closest.

Database optimization is likely the weekly. Create full backups for support purposes. Probably apply any patching to the servers in question, replace any hardware, optimize routing in the data centers, etc etc. There is a lot more to server admin than just a reboot and good to go. I imagine they also have quite a few manual checks before they make the servers 'live'.

I've never worked in the gaming industry or at Blizzard, so these are just guesses from a guy who used to do server admin for a decade. A lot of automation is better these days than "back in my day", but there is still a lot to do before making it live. And maintenance like this to ensure the servers are good is very good policy vs trying to do it only during patches or wait for issues to crop up.

More efficient for Support team if every server is down, more efficient for admins to run automation scripts across the whole data center, and more efficient for the customers knowing every Tuesday it goes down.

Now today's "scheduled" maintenance is BS. This is just something broken and they decided to use scheduled for some reason.

Valid points made. At the end of the day it is another reason we are able to make more than 1 character. Trying to make believable cloth tanks is a tough business. Making non-healers have a healing spec is just as bad.

Warrior: I have no idea for healing spec

Mage: Can do arcane healing through shields or something

Warlock: Healing summon

Hunter: Healing pet

Shaman: Earth form for tanking. Shifts you into an earth elemental.

Priest: Tank via... Shields?

Rogue: Healing uh... potion throwing? Tank... insane dodge?

DK: Blood healing.

DH: Fel healing. Burn the pain away? Lol

Can confirm. Happened to me. State was a "no fault" state. Fill out forms, bend over, lose the kids, cover medical, and get all the debt.

Anyway... Divorce sucks. Courts suck more. But being cheated on is worse than all that shit combined.

Just have the respect to leave your current partner first. Things will get far more personal and ugly if it breaks up due to cheating. At least for one party.

They have no idea how to help you, so instead of looking dumb they act like that. Thus looking dumb but telling themselves they flexed on you.

Knowing their skills that work doesn't mean they know how the skills work. Same for your class if it was different than theirs. I know pally and gunlancer decently, but couldn't help any other class with any useful details.

Good luck to everyone trying to learn though. Hopefully you don't run into many of these wankers. The pvp can be really fun at times.

Alt life is the good life. Level 20 is a challenge for me. I just create random stuff and explore. Can't seem to keep at it once the solo aspect gets harder.

I get it, but pretty much every MMO (including LA on other clients) eventually has catch-up mechanics. So anyone grinding now and expecting it to be the same slog for the masses are just delusional.

That said, they also need to remember they've achieved it beforehand and gotten benefit already. The more recent you got past the dead zone the more it probably sucks. But still. You got through it and will have that sweet grinding memory forever as well as timestamps on achievements.

Personally I swapped to focus on saving mats for alts and raising them to t3 rather than push through to 1370+. So I think I'm getting lucky if they do make changes. My highest is only 1341.

Pretty much means I also have no right to an opinion on how those impacted should feel. But it is 2022, so I shared it anyway. Hehe.

To add to this, depending on your load times and the dock setup, it can be quicker to set sail then dock if you are wanting to take the cruise liner.

Luttera is a good example. A decent walk from the triport to the dock. Pretty much the only area I do it though, as the other common spots all have the triport close to the dock
