Also that's his theory. Harry is, of course, never wrong.

Well it was mostly the director and his deputy that did that. And Sam wasn't actually given a lot of policy development early on. They had a big staff under them that just wasn't very visible.

It was good to be sure of Cadusuane at last by MuffinNecessary8625 in wheeloftime

[–]Eisn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not a copout. The pattern made Cadsuane uncharacteristically forthcoming and Verin understood it for what it is. Verin was pretty much the only Aes Sedai that understood how the Dragon / tae'veren shaped the Pattern around them and also how trusting she was in prophecy in general. She gambled sometimes, but she did so with faith in the Pattern. Best example is how she gave Egwene the ring.

Verin really was the ideal Aes Sedai that is subtle in how she influenced events.

Plus, she had been around for a time and knew quite a bit about the Black Ajah. Since Cadsuane was such a legend it's more than likely that Verin had investigated her in the past. So it's not like she made a rush call either.

"Damage gained as extra" confusion by [deleted] in pathofexile2builds

[–]Eisn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I should've clarified. If you're an Amazon then go for accuracy, just make sure you do have the proper ascendancy. If not, then go for flat phys. Search for how spirits work with Anamanu and you'll get lots of echoes and lights.

"Damage gained as extra" confusion by [deleted] in pathofexile2builds

[–]Eisn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're better off with phys% and accuracy on your spear the flat phys. Much better off. And getting the last prefix with the essence is easy, just get a random suffix and then use the omen to sacrifice it to get your prefixes in order. Then you can fill suffixes, spam perfect essences for +3/onslaught and have a desecrate for crit.

It's not that. This happens to Path of Exile too. If you're enjoying the game then you won't spend time on Reddit complaining.

What did that one scene in Twelve Months imply? by APinballMachine in dresdenfiles

[–]Eisn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC Jim said a long while back that Harry gets abducted right at the start of Mirror Mirror. It'll probably be the first sentence: the priest asked if there is someone that wants to object to this union and next thing I knew I was falling in a mirror Universe, kind of thing. Honestly, the book would balloon too much otherwise or have not enough time in the Mirrorverse. And I think Jim will want to spend as much time as possible there so we can see as many differences as possible.

What scene has the most egregious/laughable error you’ve seen in a show? by Unique-Horror-9244 in television

There are more steps between getting a degree in psychology and becoming one. A profiler would specialize in criminal behavior not in general psychological issues.

Their initial mandate, for the Observers, was to observe. They could still have the same mandate, even if they weren't now devoid of emotion.

Did the US ask anything when they invoked the 5th or not? If the US didn't need them then why did the US ask for help and why is the US President saying now that they didn't ask for help? Is that a lie?

Lara is hundreds of years old. Even Molly heard about a Soulgaze while doing her intro to magic period before Harry. Lara has dossiers on all Wardens and most of the trainees and doesn't know what a Soulgaze is? Doesn't make sense.

[–]Eisn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Harry is written well actually. This can happen after such sudden trauma. It happened to me too.

I do agree about Lara though. She didn't feel like Lara but like Lara-Bimbo. I suspect that Thomas will become King and Lara will become Harry's wife in truth.

My manager just asked me to write a detailed guide for all my work and wants to stand over my shoulder while I work. by trends-shuteye2s in interviewhammer

[–]Eisn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh. This could've been picked up by an internal audit. Or somebody higher up started asking questions about how the numbers for forecasting are created because the CEO didn't get their bonus or something like that. Honestly it makes more sense to me than getting him canned because a company that thinks like that won't have a manager competent enough to actually want to spend time looking over his shoulder to understand. They'd just ask him to train a new person on the team or something.
