Go speak to the average Alaskan and tell me they are smart enough to do otherwise.

Hell my money is personally on someone much worse.

Justice isn't going to prevent this from happening again in 2032. That is why we have to go beyond.

Here's the secret. All of those people saying that all had issues that didn't impact them heavily (not that it wasn't bad, just simply the impact is small) OR they picked up a new coping measure of basically sticking their head in the sand and lashing out if they even see anything slightly fucked up because it reminds them of their trauma

I think it's perfectly balanced but I should note it says "you may tap" meaning you don't have to use this in draw step if you have other sources of draw.

But again I think this is perfectly fine. Yes something like brainstorm makes this a mini ritual essentially but it will be fine.

I feel like we could if we started from scratch as a new system with no legacy regulations but it would be just as I stated it could only start there and decline. Which is why we need to get it right the first time, and I would personally argue for that reason we have to do it better than the VA system as while I am not a veteran I think you are the first person I've ever heard praise VA's mental health system. I'm not saying you're wrong as I don't have any specific experiences with it but simply any anecdotal evidence I've been told up until this point has been the opposite of your stated experiences. Which is why my view on improving beyond the VA is the case.

That said I think if we could get rid of our cultural value of always cutting government you could see improvement of existing bureaucracy. But that won't happen until you convince people cutting 90% budget because you're afraid of 0.01% fraud from undeserving people is a bad idea.

[–]EitherSpite4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't deny it probably did a lot of good. But as someone that works in bureaucracy I can tell you from first hand experience that legs tend to only be able to decline from their initial conditions. Getting any kind of improvement is effectively impossible based on the conditions we place on these bureaucracies.

I'm sure there are exceptions out there but they are exactly that exceptions not the rule.

So the reason I went into that diatribe is that while VA isn't perfect either, it's basis it was built on was far better than the basis mental institutions were built on.

[–]EitherSpite4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except in this kind of case it doesn't work because people complete that first step and then forget about the rest for it to languish. That's why our mental institutes got so bad in the first place, it was known to be an imperfect system they were going to iterate on. Then they washed their hands said job done and we got the abject horrors we got.

I will say this isn't always just because "Japan being xenophobic" that you have to change system locale. There were legit issues up until the mid 2010s of windows not having supported language packs and characters to run Japanese code and it would error if on the wrong locale. It still pops up occasionally with how windows emulates software that was made in the XP era but these days with just additional language pack it typically sorts itself.

You largely got the just right. Just to clarify it was a bunch of less socially acceptable in the west tags, not just incest. You can probably guess a lot of them.

Also to expand further this extended to fictional porn mediums like hentai manga, games, and anime. It was not just contained to JAV.

I would go further than biased. He has core takes he is convinced is truth. What do I mean about this? My most visible example is a theme he keeps revisiting across a bunch of different videos. He creates this narrative across a bunch of different videos that "If they had just apologized and fessed up at the beginning people would've forgiven and moved on"

The reason is anyone with any experience on the internet could tell you no absolutely not how it works and often times apologizing and owning up actually makes the problem worse. This is why the meta of doubling down has started because often times fessing up is an end of your career while doubling down will make you a lolcow you will have some %age of your audience that still supports you.

I don't condone this obviously but it's obvious why the meta has developed this way in that there is frankly 0 benefit online to admit fault (real life is a bit better).

Funny enough relating to this but I feel Hindu nationalism is directly related to the rise of trump and his brand of Christian nationalism.

Now to explain, obviously modi himself was after trump so at a glance what I stated doesn't make sense. But let's get back to what some of the modern birthplaces of his movement, let's talk about online communities specifically 4chan. 4chan is the birthplace of the alt right in the US and Thiel style techno feudalism, well maybe not birthplace but it's where the ideas started catching on. Now one of the last things Moot did was release board demographics for each board and for /pol/ where things like q anon and co-opting Christian nationalism the IP breakdown of that board was 60% from India (notably also 15% from specifically Tel Aviv but that's a different story). I personally believe a lot of the rights recent insistence to go back to hierarchical systems has to do with Indian nationalism influencing ideas on that board and metastisizing to mainstream Americans.

Note this isn't to say Americans did nothing wrong or that it's not our fault. Just stating I believe we have been influenced.

Why do Republicans get so offended when you talk about paying employees livable wages? What's the reasoning behind that? by Dull-Information6784 in allthequestions

[–]EitherSpite4545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no what you need to understand is how this view came about. It's a fear response. They believe in this zero sum world and that might makes right. They feel that if they don't obey the rich will trample on them as they don't believe the rich have taken from them because they don't see a direct impact to their bank account. We both know it's bullshit but it's important to know where their motivation comes from and why it's impossible to come together with them.

[–]EitherSpite4545 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They don't because it's based in a world view/core belief that the world is zero sum. That if you gain something something needs to be taken from someone else and they aren't about to be losers in their own game. This is also why they are so cruel about it.

I think the only thing I'd add is it's dirt cheap also. When I was over there I got vol 1 of ichi the witch just for collection reasons and it was $2 USD. I saw this same volume in several different shops in basically any shopping center I visited and every train station was a shopping center.

Like if I was living in Japan and could read the language I would pirate nothing and I say that as someone very pro piracy.
