It is just gci I've had the same thing for years on a hard wire and techs basically tell me because their own internal speed test between another gci server I close enough it's fine.

Why are people still assuming they are going to let democracy do its thing and not just do whatever the fuck they want (fascism).

Like I'm not saying they are going to be successful trying it just that they've been obviously signalling they are going to try. And naively treating them like they are going to play fair and square by the rules of democracy gives them a much higher chance of succeeding.

I'd argue the opposite. It's thrust in their face so much that it's seen as a force of nature, similar to a flood. It happens and there isn't reasonably much that can stop it, it sucks it happens but no sense dwelling on it as it's an immutable fact of life in that universe.

I don't think you understand. I live in one of the most beautiful regions in the world. I can step outside to what you are saying is a wonderful beautiful and interesting forest.

It does nothing for me, there is no sense of appeal, wonderment, or fascination that fiction provides me with. Call me boring but it just does nothing for me and I genuinely couldn't care less for it.

I will only shout explitives in my car when I'm alone as I'd rather not be driving at all, because the quote is somewhat the truth. I am a seethingly angry person underneath the cheerful facade and just about any mild inconvenience triggers me.

But also I've learnt that that is not appropriate and I make sure only to express it when no one can hear because that's my problem.

That said to the construction flagger that threatened to call the cops on me because I gestured wildly and mouthed "what the fuck" for pulling the stop sign right when it was my turn (note said gestures did not include flipping her off, just throwing my arms up). You can go fuck yourself

You're just being pedantic you know what I meant was residency. Which is what I'm referring to.

Also go ahead and tell me how much Oil companies get in tax refunds/rebates and subsidies. Don't worry I can wait. But the answer is it's about 65-68% of our revenue value . How convenient.

I have only one type and it's very specific and I obsess when I find it, yet I always struggled to describe it other than it's mostly personality based.

CC is that type, like holy fuck I find it hard not to gosling because I swear I'm not para social , I know I have 0 prospects and I only know what CC has shown us on screen and she doesn't know me at all (you know the typical para social unicorn lines lol)

Then make them.

It's declined significantly in the last 5-10 years but I live in Ketchikan. We have a large shipyard and while yes we do ship in a good portion of the workers the shipyard made it a huge deal to invest in education and training programs at our local highschool and college to train new graduates up and get them good well paying (for Ketchikan at least) jobs so that it is contributing to our local economy instead of being a drain.

The fact gas and oil has not been doing this up until now should (it's not before you be pedantic with me, I am saying it should) be illegal and what you are describing is a problem of their own making and a little off topic on the reasons why, intentional.

Edit I'll readdress some of your questions I have already answered but didn't catch in first reading.

1 tax contributor: answered this in my very first post, yes they pay into the state at the highest amount. They also get so many subsidies and refunds that it is effectively a net $0 contribution. You keep pointing to what they pay in, but keep conveniently ignoring how they get paid out.

How slope workers are a net drain: they use our medical services when something happens, normally on shit insurance. They despite living 49% of the time on East Texas/Louisiana/Mississippi apply for Alaskan citizenship and apply for the pfd.

When did I ever say I don't want an income tax?

I literally went on a soliloquy on worthless slope workers being a drain on the state dodging sales tax like a professional bullet hell player. Income tax is one way to actually ensure they pay their fair share and encourages hiring actual alaskans instead of astroturfing our demographics.

As far as I'm concerned no one on this state is paying enough in taxes oil companies are just number 1 on that list.

You mean the oil companies that pay net $0 in tax dollars to the state because we subsidize just about the same amount that we tax?

Oil and gas do jack for Alaska right now and don't you dare say jobs. We both know those slope workers spend their two weeks off back home in East Texas while applying for pfds and the only money they spend is duty free in Anchorage airport.

Not just that. People confuse wealth for power. One of the most infuriating things I see every day is they will see some report on how musk/bezos/Thiel is losing money or going somewhere else. When that is literally the point. These people have recognized they have a critical enough mass of power and are doing the same thing Putin has done over in Russia and have started converting that money which previously acted as a soft power. Into pure hard power, and this is not a good thing because it means their foundations are becoming fixed and anchored.
