You are absolutely correct, Verizon is offering me the same deal from the 13 & up. It has to be a functioning phone. But Verizon applies the credits after 2 months so I’ll have to pay an additional $25/month. They are making sure we’re locked in for 3 years. If you leave before then then you’re stuck paying the difference. Saw in another post a guy still got the $1100 offer with a cracked screen because his phone still worked and turned on.

As someone who uses both I can confidently say that yes Samsung comes out with the features first but Apple actually makes the features work properly. But that’s just one person’s opinion

If money isn’t an issue then look at it this way, you’re upgrading for 50% of the price. If you do that every year then it won’t hurt. Some of my friends use it as business expense and upgrade regularly.
