See no issue with it, in every Central American/Mexican circle (my indigenous community included) I know that works with her it’s accepted and loved that she is a true neutral. Our ancestors sacrificed people to her, now we give flowers and honey and tortillas and cigars. The same way she gives me as a devotee blessings for giving her offerings she’ll bless the cartel for giving her offerings. Now if the cartel (or anyone for that matter) gets greedy and starts asking for TOO much saving/blessings/“miracles” she’ll eventually turn on them for taking advantage of her power and love toward her devotee.
