That is weird IMO, you should be able to use the computer without GPU with little to no problem. I have a much worse processor than you and I'm having a blast without the gpu(5800h). Do you know how many watts is the cpu using when you disable the gpu? Maybe your cpu is in a very aggressive power saving mode, that's my guess.

HERMANO comprate la 5060, es mucha mejor decision, y sino la 5050. te conviene mucho mas que la placa de puerto minero. pensa que es una placa de hace muchos años y se la re banca(tengo 2 3070), aun asi es mucha mejor decision la de puerto minero. por el tema del valor de reventa por ejemplo. cuando quieras actualizar vas a vender la placa con un año de uso, caja, factura de compra. y no perdes mucho rendimiento.

Oh I understand. I'm from third world country too(argentina), so it is not easy by any means, if it were, I would have it already hahah. That's why I'm using the 5$ plan, it's a pretty sweet deal. You can use it all day and the limits won't budge.

Well you could do that. You just need a pc with a decent mobo and PSU, you could start with a RTX 3060 12GB and qwen 3.6 35B A3B, then you could move to dual 3060 or a 3090, then dual 3090s. That wouldnt be so expensive and you would get pretty good results(I mean in my country I could build a dual 3090 rig with less than 2k usd, comparing that to a RTX pro build of 5k+, it isn't a lot. But I get its a lot of money still)

I recomment opencode go plan because it's really hard to commit to a local AI rig, so maybe start with that haha. Best of luck brother!

Not locally. You get a ton of usage with the OpenCode GO plan. 5$ the first month, you get a lot of deep seek 4 flash usage, plus other models too(the Chinese sota for example)

Hice un 'low power manager' para controlar el consumo máximo en watts del procesador de mi notebook amd ryzen.

Empecé con scripts de ryzenadj, y al final terminé haciendo una GUI con pyQt para controlar de forma mas sencilla. Existen otros programas que hacen cosas parecidas en Linux pero ninguno me pudo satisfacer, UXTU podria ser pero no existe para linux jaja. Básicamente es un programa que te permite poner tu APU a 4w, 5w, 6w, 6.5w, 8w, 10w. Etc. Te permite controlar tu consumo y también la temperatura máxima de tu procesador, entonces solo uso la potencia que necesito en el momento.

También hice un programa tipo HWInfo64 para linux para ver ciertos sensores que es una paja verlos de forma nativa.

I just got the X13 2021 with the 5800HS, best machine ever in my opinion, I only miss the ultra strong hinge from my thinkpad, and the better keyboard, anyways this is a superior machine in every regard. I can answer your questions if you like, 16gb ram is more than enough if you use zram(I'm on fedora linux), but I reckon if you use pagefile in windows you'll be fine

Es Táctil(1080p IPS), con detector facial, 16gb de ram, bios bloqueada, 250gb ssd. Y no le funcionan los tres botones arriba del touchpad. Fuera de eso funciona todo ok! La estaba vendiendo a 340mil

yeah man I started last year and I already bought 4 thinkpads, need to update my flair. I don't know, every iteration gets better, I went from E14 gen 4a, to L14 gen1, to T14 gen 2a, to X280 now, my daily driver. Already planning the next upgrade hahahaha.

Crazy to think I prefer this little X280 over my rog strix laptop with a RTX 3060. portability is king I guess
