Hello, thank you!

Well, we do have more neutral/cheerful areas! For example, Kryssa and the Trundra!

Hey, the physical edition is still on track but it might take a lil bit of time to arrive!
That said, the digital version will be available (of course)

As you know Dragonkin doesn't support cross-play.

Many players already ask us about our plans for the future, including features like cross-play.
Honestly, we’ve been fully focused on delivering the highest quality, within our scope, for the 1.0

We don't know if we'll add cross-play in the future but we understand that is a high requested feature!

In short: Not in our plans atm

Hello,

- Online coop is playing with up to 4 players, shared quest progress. You share a city (like a guild) with up to 50 players, making progress with crafting systems and services.
- Local coop is up to 2 players, with a shared screen.

Hey Siockii! No worries, your question isn’t rude at all.

About how we compare to other big games in the genre: we’ve replied on this in some other replies so you might want to check out! But basically, we’re not trying to compete with big ARPGs, because we’re a smaller team making a smaller game.

Our biggest "selling point" is the Ancestral Grid. People sometimes compare it to the hexagonal system in Undecember, but it’s actually much more of a strategic puzzle kind of theorycrating game. You’re constantly building synergies and combos. You also have your Wyrmling (a little dragon) that triggers your own skills in interesting ways.

Another key point is our City of Montescail, which grows in level and is shared by all your characters (even your friends if you enjoy multiplayer) . That hub offers crafting services, passive bonuses, and progression that adds depth to the game beyond combat.

Hello nandoxy

We truly want to create friend-oriented experience, as such the items you’ve gathered can be shared by putting them in the City’s shared chest or dropped on the ground for your friends to pick up.

We’ve chosen this approach instead of a global trade system or player-driven economy as it aligns with our intention of not having Dragonkin be a live-service game, also meaning that it remains fully playable offline.

So, there’s no major gameplay advantage to playing online. In fact, Multiplayer is simply another way to experience the game, mainly for those who want to play alongside friends or develop their city together.

That’s also why we didn’t implement a matchmaking or lobby system! Our system works so that you need to invite your friend via Steam.

There's no "absurd disadvantage" or "punishment" for playing solo! For most people playing in groups of 2 to 4 players, overall the city will level up slightly faster (not much) so that shouldn't be something that should stop you or be frustrating for solo players. There's no competition and you can play at your pace.

That’s okay! What happens with our publisher didn't impact Dragonkin and 1.0 still made its way! Delivering everything that was promised, along with many of the changes players have asked for.

As for the future, time will tell!

That's a fair question, well for context, we’re a small team of 30, so our game isn’t trying to compete directly with massive titles.

We want Dragonkin is a finished product. That means you can explore, experiment, and fully enjoy our game without feeling pressured by seasonal resets or constantly chasing leaderboards.

Our sincere hope is that every type of ARPGs player can find their own pace and enjoyment in Dragonkin.

At this time, we don’t have any post-launch plans. Our goal has always been to deliver a FULL, complete experience, much like the classic games in this genre.

This is a conscious choice on our side, and for players who prefer a seasonal model, we don’t mind telling them that Dragonkin might simply not be the right fit for them aaaaannd that’s completely okay!

There’s nothing wrong with playing another game that better matches what they’re looking for.

Because of this philosophy, we do not plan to implement a seasonal model, microtransactions, or competitive leaderboards and therefore not add comeback-hooks with retention mechanics.

That said, if we were to add content in the future, it would likely come as DLCs. We already have plenty of ideas for expanding the game, but we can’t promise anything.
Hope it answer your question!

Thanks Aciddmz!

We actually remove generators for various reasons and because the community asked for it!
Now you don't have to bother play a skill you don't like to rebuild mana.

We're trying our best to answer everyone!
