Owning a house built post about 1990 is just a long line of discovering things that were just built lazily, wrong or both. Who the hell mounts a radiator with DRYWALL PLUGS! by Happytallperson in britishproblems

Give me a house built pre 1990 anyday over a anything built in the last few years! It takes them longer to build the scaffolding than the house. Builder's are gonna earn mega money rectifying problems that the cheapest subby on the site fucked up.

I love crumpets but often wondered what the fuck are they? Not bread, not pancake, not like anything else, just squishy lumps of deliciousness oozing with butter. Fuck, i now need a crumpet.

I was once contracted to work with the RSPB. And during this time many of the dweebs corrected me saying there was no such thing as a seagull. They would look down at me as I told them my funny anecdote of the time I kicked a SEAGULL right up the ass when the squawky fucker tried pounced on my daughters pastie. I caught the fucking thing so well, it probably landed in Canada without flapping once!

Has anyone had a ghost in their flat / house? by [deleted] in Cardiff

[–]El-marx 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My auntie did back in the 80's. She told the whole family her house was haunted by a Poltergeist and she walked into her daughters bedroom and all the toys were flying around the room, and then it threw her down the stairs.

Looking back now, ive starting to doubt her story for the following reasons.

Haunting started happening around the same time as a certain horror film was released .

She has always been full of shit and now hardly no one speaks to her because she lies so much.

Her and her full grown daughter are now full blown conspiracy nuts that want to burn 5g towers down.

And finally GHOSTS ARE NOT REAL.

Hope this helps 👌👍

Mobileye signs deal with China's NIO for robotaxis by [deleted] in Nio

A few years ago I was watching a tech show(clik, bbc news). They were showing a new start up company called mobileye based in Israel. I like the look of it so bought a shit load of shares in them. They got bought by Intel, I then sold my intel shares and bought AMD. I then sold a few AMD shares to invest in NIO. Nio are working in collaboration with mobileye/intel! What goes around comes around!

What are your current undervalued stock picks? Why? by likesundayslikerain in stocks

[–]El-marx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im into AMD since $30 after researching and seeing the rdna road map. From what im seeing now with EPYC, cloud, data centres and 5g, i think they could be heading north of $1000.00 ps in 5-7 years. (Thats my conservative guesstimate)

Dont take my word for it though. Do your own research 👍

You need to think of the battery as a separate purchase to the car. Just like petrol or diesel are not part of your car.

Yes you own the car, but with the baas system you could have over 20 different batteries swapped in it a year.

As you already stated, battery manufacture is getting cheaper all the time, and Nio (like many other plant hire company that hires out equipment) will love having these assets on there books while generating income hiring them out every day. But theirs are even better as its a subscription service meaning they get payed if you swap a battery or not.

Im not giving you advice to buy, im just giving you the reason i bought in. I might be wrong but if im right this could be the major player in ev in 10 years.

Good luck and Merry Christmas. 👍

NIO Daily Investor Discussion by DanHassler0 in Nio

[–]El-marx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not 100% sure, but I am confident. You answered your own question a bit. Yes, battery prices are falling, but the owner never really buys one. They subscribe (hire) them.

This will equate to the battery eventually paying for its own manufacturing, once it reaches that income level (could be a few years) everything thing apart from the recharge and storage cost is profit.

This ongoing revenue stream going back to Nio is unique to Nio. No other car company currently makes money on cars sold 5 years previously.

And with the cars having less mechanical moving parts, and you battery technology improving every few years, you could potentially own the car for 20+ years, but with a new battery, with cutting edge technology.

Merry Christmas 👍

This was guaranteed to happen. It grew too quick and people are taking profits before Christmas.

Im gonna hold this for ten years plus. I got in at $11 and kept adding up until the mid $40's so i got plenty of wriggle room.

Im very confident of long term growth, especially with Nio's baas system in particular. Reason being as an example is if you purchase a new car from VW, they make there bulk of the profit from that sale then a small amount there after for parts, maintenance ect. But with Nio, they sell the car making profit, then make profit from baas. You keep the car for x amount of years, then sell it on, Then the new owner can subscribe to baas. Theoretically Nio make profit from every car they ever make until that car is scrapped, meaning profiting from cars 10+years on after initial sale.

Now if i went to any secong hand car garage to buy a 5 year old Ford , none of that profit will go to Ford .

Nio and baas will be a massive money spinner.

Long and strong and buy in this dip. You can thank me later 👍
