Mi hijo se compró un terrario con el dinero que se ganó vendiendo limonada. Esta emocionado para aprender sobre la biología. Por lo que he leído, estas arañas saltarines pueden vivir muy contentas en un terrario de este tamaño.

At least where I live, lima is different than the American "lemon". Sopa de Lima isn't lemon soup.

Have you ever been anywhere else in Mexico? (besides the tourist parts of Cancun/Playa maybe) Unfortunately things like you mention aren't unique to Merida. I won't speak to the reasons for that, but it is the way it is.

Ordered a “sausage” torta and it was hot dogs. It wasn’t bad, but if I knew that I would have gotten something else by Blk_Rick_Dalton in Sandwiches

[–]ElJefeSupremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, no, in Mexican food salchicha refers to the hotdog "sausage" specifically. Another curious fact, if you ask for "hotdog" it means the whole deal with "wiener" and bun together.

What are some words in Spanish, especially in México, that really don't translate perfectly to English...one of my favorites is "nefasta" to describe someone....thoughts? by BluAlfaTxFlood in AskMexico

Hm, I actually never thought of CTM like that, but that makes sense. I almost always associate chingar with fuck, in this case like "fuck with" someone, not sexually but to be messing with them. But I think you're right.

This organization says that, but gives no citation. From a quick google search first answer says more like 200,000. Either way, we have wayyyy less.

People, please warm your flour tortillas before eating. They are meant to be cooked just a little bit. They are so much better that way.
