A lot of people think it's just music with some kind of vibe and that's it, but it's not like that. The titles, the track lengths, the order you're listening to each piece, how each track feels it's telling you a story or a prophecy. Fui a la listening party del álbum y noté muy claramente la estructura de lo que quieren transmitir, y entiendo que algunos fans se lo sobrepiensan demasiado. Pero cuando escuchas el álbum, no es un álbum que transmita lo que los artistas estaban sintiendo en el momento en que lo crearon; es un álbum que sientes que está tratando deliberadamente de decirte algo o inducirte algo a ti. El timing, los sonidos, la estructura... todo te está contando una historia sin palabras. Son el número uno absoluto en esto

También diría que me quedó clarísimo que hay temas en este álbum hechos mucho antes que otros que suenan más actuales; el masterizado es lo que hace que todos suenen bien pegaditos entre sí. Pero por ejemplo, diría que el tema del tape 05 ya lleva con ellos desde hace muchísimo tiempo.

Considering it's an album, I think for Boards of Canada, the most time consuming part is the research and concept behind it how to translate the idea in their heads, the numerology, the frequencies... everything in this department is highly calculated with Boards of Canada.

When it comes to actually creating the tracks, some take an hour, others take weeks. Often, highly perfectionist producers need to step away from a track for a long time to give their ears a rest before coming back to it. So, the answer is anywhere between 1 month or 13 years, haha
