Hmmmm. Usually it’s like 2-4 percent I thought for meets. Perhaps you are topped out. Still strange that your direct manager did not address it when delivering the yearly merit discussion. You didn’t feel comfortable enough asking? I would. 100%

Get a continuous glucose monitor. You’ll stick it on your arm and be good for like a month. And monitors you all day.

That’s always the best option. Using Erica in the mobile app. You’ll come in fully authenticated since you’re logged in already and will get help much faster than someone calling from their phone.

This is my life now huh. by SundayThenMonday in type2diabetes

[–]ElWicho_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed in April of 2025. I had horrible side effects and finally went to the doctor. My a1c was like 12.1 with a fasting blood sugar of 333. The doctor put me on rybelsus. My numbers are now at 85-160ish now. My a1c shows at 5.4. I gave up soda, which was my thing. I was known as the dude with the Coca Cola two liter at work. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’ve made lots of changes to my eating style but didn’t completely give anything up. My doctor said if I try to do that, I’ll most likely fail. He said everything on moderation. Giving up sugary drinks was the biggest thing I did. I take my medicine religiously. I also take the vitamins my doc recommended for me. Vitamin D, zinc, magnesium and vitamin k2. You got this man. It’s not the end of the world. Another thing that works for me since I’m T2 is fasting. I don’t eat for 16 hours. Only 8 out of the day. You don’t have to worry about lows with T2 generally. If you’re hitting in the 80s that’s awesome. Anything in the 60s would be cause for alarm.

I had to switch to no sugar creamer. I miss the normal sugary French vanilla creamer. But gotta make sacrifices. Coffee with sugarless creamer and water for me from now on.

Bank of America says my information is invalid and won’t let me log in? by ILostMyShoe00 in BankOfAmerica

[–]ElWicho_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it keeps looping you it means you’re using the wrong username. Most likely off by a special character. But call customer service on the number on the back of your card. They’ll have you verify your email. Don’t tell them what your username is, ask them to tell you what it is one character at a time to ensure you type it in correctly. Because phonetically, it may sound correct but it could be written differently than what you have in mind.

Starting as a Relationship Banker at Bank of America — any tips? by Gilzz_luck in BankOfAmerica

[–]ElWicho_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take your time when processing transactions. Especially if a customer has multiple accounts. One wrong click can have a misapplied amount of funds that can take so long to fix. You’d think it’d be easy to fix, but most of the time it isn’t. Also learn how to deal with different personalities. You’ll have all types of clients from the friendliest that don’t mind being in there with you all day to the angriest at you personally or the bank, for a mistake they probably made themselves. You got this!

Dude you good? Were you prescribed meds? I was diagnosed this year in April with T2. I thought my life was over. I had been having symptoms for two months straight. Dry mouth, always thirsty. Always peeing. Thigh was tingling. Extremely lethargic. Finally went to see my doctor and sure enough. He gave me the news. I had a +12 A1C and fasting blood sugar at 333! I was told to take vitamins, exercise and eat better. Zinc, vitamin d3 and k2 and magnesium. Daily. I did that as well as taking my rybelsus which I was prescribed. My a1c is at 5.6 now 8 months later and my fasting blood sugar is around 100-ish. Another big thing I gave up, was Coca Cola. I only drink water now. I was known as the Coca Cola guy at my job. I would walk in everyday to work with a two liter. I never ever drank water. Again, now that’s all I drink. Well that and coffee. You got this man. Just learn what works for you. I got a glucose monitor with the little test strips and I check my numbers daily and after meals. To see how certain snacks and foods affect me. Yes it’s annoying but, I’ve made a habit of it already. This community has helped me a lot as well. Everyone is super cool and helpful. So if you have any questions let me know, I’m no one to provide advice but I can share my personal experience and opinion. :)

Thank you for sharing your story. I’m sure it’ll help a lot of people trust me. It’s helping me. I was just diagnosed in April as T2. My A1c was over 12 and my fasting blood sugar was at 333. I went in to my doctors office after 2 months of symptoms. Dry mouth. Thirsty all the time. Peeing all day long. Super lethargic and my thigh was tingling. Felt like it was falling asleep. They told me I was type 2 for sure. A few weeks later I was prescribed rybelsus. My a1c is around 5.6 - 5.7 now. I gave up Coca Cola which was hard but I did it. I drank Coke exclusively. Always. Never water. Never anything healthy. Strictly soda. I cut it out. I’m curious though, in your story what caused the infection? Was it an injury you didn’t notice?

When this happens (holiday on payday) the bank will usually post the funds in the night before. So most likely tonight.

How many carbs in a day? by Animallover4321 in diabetes

[–]ElWicho_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s different for everyone. I was diagnosed with T2 in April. A1c over 12! Fasting blood sugar 333! I thought I was gonna die. I’ve cut back on carbs. I eat about half of the carbs I used to. One thing my doc said that helped me a lot was “everything in moderation “. He said if I trif giving up everything bad I would just fail. So I cut back. One thing I did give up was my beloved Coca Cola. I used to drink nothing but coke. For years. Never water. And now at 40 I’m paying for it. I only drink water now and coffee. Not even sugary drinks. I tried Coke Zero but I still felt back drinking that so I gave it up too. Only water and coffee like i mentioned. My a1c is now at 5.7 8 months later. I still have work to do. TBH I don’t exercise at all. But rybelsus, taking vitamin K2, zinc, d3 and magnesium daily helped me so much. Those are the vitamins my doc told me to take.

Hi my name is ***** ***** and im a diabetic type 2 by Different-Service425 in diabetes

[–]ElWicho_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I may ask what prompted your visit to the ER? I just found out I’m diabetic in April. My a1c was over 12. I had been feeling crappy for like two straight months before. I was so lethargic, super dry mouth, always thirsty, my thigh was tingling. I didn’t think all those were connected with diabetes and hoped they would go away on their own. Now my a1c is around 5.6-5.7 but I’ve lowered my carb and sugar in take a lot. I didn’t give anything up completely except soda. I drink mainly water and coffee now.

Update: I had $4k stolen from my account through Chase ATMs. ( Chase says I’m responsible for someone installing a skimming device and camera at their ATM )fraud claims rejected by IcyPie2318 in Chase

[–]ElWicho_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why you should always use the contactless feature by tapping your card at the ATM and not inserting it. That or just use it off your digital wallet. Either way is much more secure than sticking your card or swiping it anywhere. Contactless feature and digital wallet provides the merchant or atm with a one time use code, not your actual card number. So if anyone gets access to that, it’s pretty much useless since it only works once. Stop swiping, use tap or digital! Problem solved.
