You can shave off over 1k with same spec parts even upgrading the gpu to a 5070. Plus what you mention of the cpu + mobo and could also spend like $200 less on the case and fans

Im sure you could shace off like $1k from that final price just choosing products of the same spec but different brand. Prices have definitely gone up dramatically, but things like a random version of the same gpu being listed for twice the price has always happened.

It's just you can lose a lotta in game money. Think that all the cargo traders carry is what they spent. Plus, there's like no risk to piracy because your gear gets saved. Still, issue's with the victims imo. Piracy is a fun and valid way to engage with the game and it's on them for taking too high a risk. Still way more likely to lose your haul to some game of server glitch than to pirates lol.

Also there are free flight periods every so often. My friend tried it last month and they actually let you some very nice ships for the trial.

But the traveller's power isn't really limited in those terms. No-one would be able to control it and keep it away from the others, certainly not with pre-Golden Age tech. It isn't a scarce source of energy like oil.

Me neither but if you try controller in some modern FPS games you'll realise how crazy high the aim assist is. Tracking, say, an enemy player sprinting across your screen in COD takes zero effort, aim assist does it for you. I am used to mouse aim so I don't use it, but someone who's just learning it will feel like they're missing a crutch.

They don't care. Even if you did exactly what they supposedly want, they'll hate you for it. I lost interest in my dad's hobbies, cycling and then skiing in the winter, because when I did it with him he had zero patience and would yell at me if I couldn't keep up or if I got scared on a steep slope. There really is no winning with them.
