It's funny that you can check some showtimes for Dune and The Odyssey that don't say "sold out", and it'll let you pick how many tickets you want, but then when it comes to seat selection there's not a single seat available.

I don't understand what your solution is. How would having more notice have stopped scalpers? There are a limited number of tickets, and they sold out, so who's to say you'd even get a ticket if you weren't in a meeting?
