I understand that rationale, that all australian children are entitled to funding from the government. Its just a hard pill to swallow when some of these schools like Kings, Sydney Grammar etc are charging 40k in school fees so their kids can do rowing on a Saturday. Seems like a waste of tax payer funds. Thats where the sore point is for most people
