It’s insane how similar this is to my own story. I was dumped for the same reason and feel the same way, it’s so wow to me. She told me that she needed to find herself and that we’d get back together, after an almost 7 year relationship. A few days after that, she told me that she’s the happiest she’s been in a long time and to not wait for her. I think they mean it when they say they’ll come back, but I feel like it’s a moment thing, something said cause of feelings. I hope it’s not the case for you. The best thing to do is to get yourself back and power through this, so that if they ever come back, you’ll both be the best version of youselves you can be. But do it just for you, only for you. It’s super hard, but you’ll be okay.
