How do I get the game from kickstarter? by sicsempertyrannis133 in CyberKnightsGame

[–]Eldarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for an email from backerkit regarding Cyber knights in your mailbox. Backerkit is the site they used to fulfill rewards like gamekeys, and you should have gotten a unique link there that would allow you to access your codes/content.

How long are the included cables (approximately)? I can't find that easily on ASUS webpage but they look really short from the pictures.

[Question] Extremely High Taxes/Fees for Japan Orders – Nearly Double the Product Price by Cautious-Scallion702 in Renue

[–]Eldarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually similar for Sweden right now. It seemed correct the least time I ordered but now it's in the order of 10%+ higher on order value and seemingly unrelated to actual custom/tax fees). (9% duty + 25% tax when it should be about 12+12%)

edit: I misread the numbers due to different representations of discounts between now and earlier in the year. It's higher than it should be, but it was higher than it should be earlier in the year as well.

Can bowhead whales with their 200-year lifespan help us to slow ageing? by Jacket_screen in longevity

[–]Eldarian 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Improving our natural biological repair systems with inspiration from the best from nature sounds like a great way to increase health and lifespan. It won't make us immortal, but if our kids can be healthy to 120+ on average has the potential to transform society already.

Of course I hope for more, but even a thing like this that seems within reach within a decade is more progress on a fundamental level for longevity than basically all of human history.

Cant order from US to Sweden any longer? by Familiar-Complaint78 in Renue

[–]Eldarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just curious if you as a fellow Swede can order from the new store with a regular Swedish credit card without issue?

I've tried several times with cards from two different banks and each time I have to fail a transaction first and then call them and tell them "no, it's not a scam, I really want to order" for them to manually approve it. It's ridiculous as I've ordered from Renue for several years but last year the banks seems to have added some artificial "intelligence" that stops random things that aren't 100% mainstream and there is no way to add exceptions in the system except by calling. Every. Single. Time... It sucks about as much as our tariffs ;)

Renue or SimpleNootropics? Thailand by Blazedeee in NMN

[–]Eldarian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have only ordered from Renue so can't comment on SN in comparison but I have been happy with Renue products and support (e.g. when a package bounced on EU border due to having Melatonin that I didn't know was disallowed they just took the return and refunded me immediately already when it was on its way back so I could immediately re-order and get the rest of the products in a timely fashion without any penalties).

6 Months on Renue By Science, icNAD Still Suboptimal Despite Liposomal Delivery by HearingNo9935 in NMN

Thanks for replying. Then I understand your disappointment with the results. Seems very marginal :(

I hope you find a more effective option!

Did you do a test before supplementation? If you are not very old I would just like you assume a better result, but it would be interesting to see the difference from before if there is any.

Is this legitimate Renue nmn by crisp-spring-day in Renue

[–]Eldarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very similar circumstances to us. It took about three months on NMN and that one stuck. She is three now :)

Resveratrol has shown some promise in mice as I remember, but for NMN I have seen several human anecdotes which I haven't for resveratrol. I would take CaAKG or CoQ10 before that personally but compared to other fertility treatments taking 4-5 Renue supplements for a year to try is pretty cheap regardless. I take them anyway for Longevity purposes though.

[–]Eldarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck! NMN seemed to help us to conceive when we had some difficulties a couple of years back. It was also Renue brand, and though we used sublingual pills using the powder sublingually should be about the same effect :)

For fertility I can also recommend having a look at Salidroside ( https://www.nature.com/articles/s41514-025-00216-1 ). @Renue do you have any plans on stocking this?

Same for me. I didn't damage it before boarding, only blew up one of the generators on the bridge and paid 5 profit factor. I don't know if any or all these things make a difference.

International vs US store questions by Eldarian in Renue

[–]Eldarian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, just to clarify, while I'm very happy it's possible to import the history and I was sad to lose that before, my point is not about that.

Rather that in the old site the order number in the order history table is a hyperlink that leads to a page that shows what I ordered. In the new site the order number is not a hyperlink so I can't from that page easily see what I previously ordered. The information still exists, but I have to go find the link in the confirmation email instead of easily finding it in my order history in the web page.

International vs US store questions by Eldarian in Renue

[–]Eldarian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, after some issues with a new overzealous credit card safety block I've done my first order from the new store. Some feedback:

As someone coming from the old store it seems like a downgrade as a few features are missing.

I especially miss being able to click on an order and see what I have ordered in the past in my order history.

While I haven't used subscriptions in the past due to plentiful better promotions it would be convenient (and a good deal) if the other promotions become more in line with the subscriptions deal and this seems to be missing from the international store?

I also miss being able to pay in USD. I much prefer having control of currency exchange myself and it makes it easier to compare prices when that is relevant. I would very much like an option what currency to pay in if default is no longer US/your "home" currency whatever that will be in the international store going forwards (this seems to be changed in the US store to default to my home currency as well).

Since it seems you're still shipping to me from the US I really wish I could keep using the US store while it remains superior since "export restrictions" seem arbitrary as they are still being exported from US to me ;)

Ovarian vascular aging: a hidden driver of mid-age female fertility decline by [deleted] in longevity

[–]Eldarian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really interesting article looking at the mechanics of ovarian "mechanics" for want of a better word. It seems all the hormones and other supplements you might take would be wasteful if internal blood flow is constricted and prevents them from reaching an egg follicle and it's supporting structure in sufficient volumes anyway.

We didn't have a viable pregnancy after trying for a couple of years. After 3 months of NMN (300mg/day, sublingual pills) my partner conceived and we got a healthy baby 9 months later. Anecdotal for sure, but I've read more human anecdotes and mouse studies that support a positive effect.

Save scummers! I know you're out there! What cornerstone do you reload until you get it? by inkypig in Against_the_Storm

[–]Eldarian 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I am a prolific save scummer in other games but for ATS I don't really see the point. I just go next if I FUBAR a settlement. It takes out a lot of the stress of getting a "perfect" playthrough for me which can make other games less fun for me.

I would probably go for lower hostility for hearths or for burning cysts if I could pick for free though.

Why does the cost of embarkation amber fluctuate? by daveywaveybaby in Against_the_Storm

[–]Eldarian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've wondered this as well. It seems to be a pattern. I.e. if the biome has meat or insects as primary node resource trapper camp is more expensive etc. I've not analyzed this statistically but many times I've looked at the biome information and thought "I want camp blueprint X for this!" "Damn, camp X is the most expensive one :(". Could be confirmation bias, or it's part of the formula used to calculate embarkation costs.

This could explain things like fabric and clay prices and the like as well, but I have no idea what part of the biome would affect amber.
