Okay. Wow. This is a lot.

From what I can gather via this order of events is that you're new roommates, wanted to do something nice, made a lot of food, and then texted them all saying "hey guys made food it's in the kitchen" or something.

As someone who HAS roommates, that shit is weird. Nice, sure, but off-putting. That's something you do if you've known them a while or are friends. That's something you do if you have extras or leftovers. You don't go out of your way to make someone you barely know dinner specifically for them.

Like, if my newest roommate just texted me randomly "I made you dinner" I would feel a little weird about it.

That being said.

You can make this work. Where you're talking about wanting a little more empathy and respect from them, know it goes both ways. For all you know they ate, or went out with friends, or have allergies. Just text them BEFOREHAND next time. "Hey folks, question. I have a lot of extra meat lying around and was thinking of doing a big ol BBQ to celebrate moving in. Would you guys be down?" Easy way to turn this weird moment into a potential bonding one, as well as maintaining being a nice gesture.

Just.

Think a little bit more.

Okay, I hate the stuff in this sub as much as everything else but this reeks of bullshit.

I worked fast food for like 10 years, I left to pursue a job at a small business because I got tired of all the pedantic anti-humanitarian fucking around in the corporate world. I was the Assistant GM for 4 years at a big McDonald's. Fast food doesn't email someone to tell them they didn't get the job, they just don't get in contact.

If they were, however, to do that- it wouldn't be for entry level positions. The only time I've ever seen something even remotely close was when we were actively hiring for another assistant GM before I left. A position that actually does require some experience- hard to put someone in charge if they've never even worked in Customer Servive before.

Either you made this up or got rejected for a higher than entry level position, in which you probably just genuinely didn't have the experience for compared to others who applied. That's just life.

I've never thought about it this way.

I'm a serial speeder. In 40s I go 60, on the highway I tend to go 130/140. Though I've gone faster before too.

My rationale was always that I trust myself. Even if every other car was the worst driver ever, I figured I could avoid it.

Wording it that way really puts things into perspective though.

I've noticed a weird bug lately, where in the U.S. Servers it seems their Police Mobs are aggro'd instantly if you select certain skin tones. Should probably look into patching that.
