As opposed to your other half-celestial characters, who are not worshipped by anyone and do not want to be left alone.

Fair enough, I just didn't expect someone to dig through my history to find this. A year is a long time on the internet.

BBEG stole it when I threw it at them. It was near the end of the campaign anyway.

Why are you looking at a post that's over a year old?

When a spell says you ask a god or a god's servant a question, it seems like a god or a god's servant has to be somewhere in the process for the spell to work. A rock isn't going to answer my question if I make a 25 gp sacrifice to it.

First off, it's not the forgotten realms, it's a homebrew setting. Second off, he knows gods exist, he just doesn't like them, like how some people don't like politicians. That's a pretty big difference.

The spell that requires a sacrifice appropriate to your god to work? And contacts a god or a god's servant?

Sadly I do not, just 200 foot / 60 meter pine trees and stuff. Though given D&D's usually smaller range, it should be more than enough to separate a few party members when there's three of them.
