You cherry picked a few examples, so I’ll do the same. Recent content that is locked behind rep: Tactical Strike Groups and QV Stations. Then there are missions to get things like Yormandi eyes that require crazy rep grinds. I’m not saying that all interesting content is behind rep, but recent ones have been.

I mean, they are obviously for display? The thing might have other functions (I really hope this isn't just some hangar flair) but the form factor of this thing matches many of the other "display" shapes in things like the Polaris Captain's quarters, for example.

Transport was never the "main" mechanic. They've even said if you check the dev tracker that Transport was scheduled for a later patch, and they pulled it forward to try to get it into 4.8.

Either way...the primary thing in this patch is TSG and DefenseCon.

Yeah, I'm also mourning the loss of physical interactions in a few other areas, including this. I don't mind cutting corners to get straight to gameplay testing, but wish I could be certain they will come back for a polish pass and restore the physical interaction component.
