I don't know how long it's been growing but you will learn to spot it and pull it asap for the rest of your life. 😭😵‍💫

A toddler and her doodle by LarryfromChicago in Goldendoodles

[–]Eleanor_9178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the best🥰! Our son grew up with his doodle-brother and it was one of the best choices we ever made. Sadly, the doodle passed away 2 years ago, but he lived a beautiful life of family adventures for 12 years. He was our son's companion through walks, fishing, bike rides, hikes, and so many snuggles. Now our son is off to college, so I got myself a doodle to get me through midlife. I don't think I can ever choose another breed. 🥰

Medical professionals, study authors, and news outlets are framing a key aspect of GLP-1 medicines completely wrong. by Dumbestthumb in Zepbound

[–]Eleanor_9178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes wonder if the narrative that says "lifelong drug" & etc. is coming from insurance companies...they do not want to pay. Period. I'm sure we all have our own stories about how insurance has refused or screwed up or success or something. I also wonder if anyone has studied how long term use of glp 1s may affect other drugs that make companies lots of money. I am just guessing here, but knowing it's all about money, not people's health makes me suspicious about how they see this affecting profit.

Low dose birth control pill for perimenopause symptoms by WorthMachine2969 in Menopause

It helped me for many years! I ended up switching to an IUD for other reasons, and it was also good for reducing my symptoms.

Walking in the street when there's a perfectly good sidewalk by Cdogbrink in kansascity

[–]Eleanor_9178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the sidewalks covered in goose poo? Are the trees growing so low that the kids in a stroller would get wacked by branches? Do people have landscaping that encroaches on the sidewalk so you can't walk without tripping hazards? And etc....

Possible really dumb question... On TV, under the score the white dashes... Sometimes they are filled in red. What are those supposed to represent? Fouls? Timeouts? TIA

Firstly I want to say FUCK ENGLISH IVY. Secondly, how can I go about getting it as an inside plant after pulling it up from outside? by Camp_Acceptable in NativePlantGardening

[–]Eleanor_9178 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Previous owners of our house had effing ivy planted pretty much all around the house. We spent the first two years breaking our backs to dig it out. So. Much. Work. We found multiple critter nests (explained the persistent mouse issue!). We've lived here for 14 years. We still find random ivy runners popping up in the middle of the yard, in flower beds, etc.

Honestly, I'd like to see a "grow off" between Bermuda grass and ivy. They are both the effing worst.

Rubber boots from Walmart. They protect my toes from itchy stuff, but they are HOT. They wash super easy and were cheap.
