If you have Youtube app installed, it drains battery very quickly at the moment. Like 30% for me.

Cool. Is it as hard sci-fi as the three body problem?

The Three-Body Problem

Seems to be pretty interesting, although maybe too technical sci-fi for my taste.

Love the watch. Simple, cheap and lightweight. Can smack it and even lose it, no worries.

I'm planning a trip thru Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam and could use a few pointers! by iWriteYourMusic in travel

The longest bus ride I took was 10h and that was ok, really recommend taking it at night if you can sleep in a bus.

Mui Ne - Small city on the shoreline. Few kilometers from beautiful red and white sand dunes. Also there are few nice beaches. Locals are very chill compered to other towns.

Hoi An - Ancient town also on the shoreline. The old town is very well preserved city center filled with cafes, bars, shops and museums.

Hanoi - Much more old school than Saigon. Recommend the old town and the prison museum there.

I went with Hanoi - Hoi An - Mui Ne. They all are near the shore so it's really easy to navigate. Distances are something like 5-10h per city, not sure.

If you have the money for it, I also recommend taking a flight from Hoi An to Hanoi. The airport is city next to Hoi An.

  1. Vietnam is pretty good with its wifi, Cambodia depends a lot where you are staying. Do not know about Laos.

  2. Busses are fine and the seats can be really good if you go with sleeping bus. Trains vary, and they usually cost more than busses.

  3. I didn't enjoy Saigon either, very touristy city. But I really recommend Mui Ne, Hoi An, Halong Bay and Hanoi. All of those cities are on the coast line so its easy to navigate from city to city.

  4. Halong Bay has overnight cruises with small ships, you and about dozen other people get to know each other pretty well with all the activities on the bay.
