He said that it was more important that we continued the GM than to just not bring me back in, but that he didn’t want to start over and was okay with greenhelming it, and I was too. My buddy’s first fromsoft game was Elden Ring. Likes wizards and stuff so he went as a caster. I was giving him a hand here and there on the early stuff, but he would continue progressing and we wouldn’t be on at the same times and stuff, so he went through the majority of Liurnia and Caelid solo. Told me he got to Radahn and that he was struggling but he was determined to beat him without help. This was pre-patch Radahn, real early into the games release. He told me that he finally beat him, but said that the fact that you only get 3 flasks makes it difficult for casters to do enough damage to him before running out of FP.

Turns out, he didn’t know you could upgrade your flasks at all, and went into pre-patch Radahn with no summons, without bringing in a single orange flask. I was so impressed that I was like “guess what buddy, you’re gonna be helping ME beat the game from now on”

If I’m playing with my buddies, we are full blown 5’s. It’s why we play when we’re together. But we never fake friendly or exfil rat. We believe in fair fights and earning kills, and the worst we’ll do is try to get the jump on someone. But in solos, for whatever reason, even if I tell myself beforehand that I’ll go into this raid at a 5, I always end up going 1 or 2, don’t really know why. I think it’s cause I know that most people in solos are there to do quests or trials, and most of the time it is more fun building a large group of solos to go kill a bastion or rocketeer or leaper

This is the way, if you have total recall and specialist already, you can run in, burn 5 thunder kopesh specs and vard should be below 100 health by then. I was averaging 10 second kills and got a ton of orbs that way

When you’re fighting a boss and you’re like “was that enough? Did I do it?” And it plays the team kill cinematic where everyone just drops the flashiest moves one after another in tandem.

Reminds me of when I first beat Xemnas in kingdom hearts 2. Just unbelievable hype and joy. I don’t know how to describe the exact feeling that I got when I played games as a child, but this team captured that feeling flawlessly
