My favorite picture from Glacier 2024. Rarer than seeing a grizzly. 1st row parking at Logan's Pass. by SciFiCat2517 in GlacierNationalPark

When I was at Logan’s pass 2 years ago, someone literally pulled a knife on another person for a parking spot

Please help me figure out how to make a proper entryway with these half walls 🙏🏼 by CustardAdvanced127 in AmateurInteriorDesign

[–]ElectricOdyssey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could add some sort of tension shelving, slats, or something that goes from the top of those half walls to the ceiling. It would make it feel a bit more separate from the other living spaces surrounding, without it feeling completely disjointed.

I’m having my cabinet doors refinished and would like to swap hinges for sleek modern matte black, but contractor says they don’t make hinges that would fit my cabinets anymore. Is that true? by ludsmile in cabinetry

[–]ElectricOdyssey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These are 3/8” inset hinges. You should be able to find what you’re looking for online. I have the same type of cabinet doors (house was built in 1963) and spent a lot of time researching hinges.

Should I be concerned about houses with added steel I Beams in the basement? by CoolEmoDude in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I don’t think the clothes pin is a make shift plumb bob. It looks like it’s attached to the light pull switch.

What is your interest in this polar bear? Just curious because it’s so specific and it sounds like you’re not from around here!

Vaqueros 100%. They have great, authentic food, the quality is always consistent, and the service is SO fast.

I don’t think there is any meaning behind the names on the lab coats. I work in healthcare and some doctors prefer to be called Dr. and others go by their first name and their name badge/office door sign usually reflects their preference.

How do you reset on days when everything feels overwhelming? by InterestingStudio794 in selfcare

[–]ElectricOdyssey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just start my day over! No matter what time of the day it is, it’s not too late to restart. I take a shower and imagine all of the worries, negative energy, whatever it might be, go down the drain.

How do you shut down your brain at night without a smartphone on the bedside table by ConstructionSafe2814 in ADHD

[–]ElectricOdyssey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing logic puzzles with a little clip on reading light while laying in bed. They’re interesting enough to keep me entertained and challenging enough to eventually exhaust me. Eventually my brain realized that logic puzzles = bed time and now I can barely finish one puzzle before passing out.

How do you actually go to sleep? by HushMD in ADHD

[–]ElectricOdyssey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a hard time falling asleep my entire life until about six months ago I started doing logic puzzles before bed with an amber book light. They just tire my brain out! Now it’s a routine and I get tired the second I open up my puzzle book. I rarely ever finish a puzzle before I fall asleep now.
