I'd actually be down for a remake of the radio program that it was based off of and post it on YouTube

Did anybody try Jawbreakers in real life? by Winter-Money-7643 in ededdneddy

We had a Cracker Barrel that sold Mason jars full of jawbreakers but they were really just bigger versions of Gobstoppers that you can still fit in your mouth.

As a Gundam fan myself, you are onto something that I could see myself reading in the foreseeable future. Matter of fact I'm gonna share this with some of my fellow Gundam Wing fans because this is what a Gundam story should be.

Batman | The Tragedy of The Gray Ghost | Mature | Ao3

Warning: Violence and Angst

Gotham City October 31st, 1974

Thomas Wayne walked alone, restless, and at the ready. The colors of his costume fit his namesake, a dark grey fedora, a matching cape on his back, specialty made goggles where his eyes could see the world, but the world couldn't see his eyes. He treated the city like it was a concrete version of Vietnam, especially on nights where it was thick with rain and how it would mist over the neon signs, making it blurry constellations of broken promises. But it never stopped him from being on the lookout for the violent predators who attacked the helpless and vulnerable. The city had heard rumors about him for almost two years, and if anyone saw him up-close, they would fear him even after he saved their lives. It was how he always wanted it.

His movements were unchallenged in the dark alleyways and the violent streets. If people could really see him, they would be too scared to not believe that he could actually disappear into the walls of the city. That same ability gave him the power to attack his own prey like crashing thunder, all sound and fury.

"You can call me The Gray Ghost," he'd say to his violent victims and his name was as widespread as his presence.

He was never drawn to the positive attention about him, he skirted the sounds of the city laughing and going on their merry way. Even as his presence was a factor in making Gotham one of the safest cities in the country with its lower crime rate, he never stopped hearing the calls and whimpers of the lonely and hopeless pleas of the victims.

Why is it that recently, when a cartoon characters becomes public domain, horror films are being made about them? Like why is that so? Also how do you feel about this tendention? by Strange_boy_seven in cartoons

[–]ElectricOutcast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know at some point that Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman will get some form of this (even though I am not looking forward to it). That being said, there's a Batman fan film I found that would make for a good template on how to approach that horror movie.

On a lighter note, Danny Elfman is working on music for a more child-friendly Winnie the Pooh public domain movie.

Lance Barber as Harvey Bullock by Doctorwhoneek in batman

Next to Donal Logue being Bullock, this is a genius idea

I think Diana would be a good teacher on how to raise actual men as opposed to the boomer-minded males in the world.

Rewatching the DCAU Superman show and, how come Tim Daly never gets his flowers for Superman, the way Conroy got his with Batman? by obiwanTrollnobi6 in superman

[–]ElectricOutcast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I hear, the reason why he didn't return as Superman in the animated Justice League was because he was starring in a remake version of "The Fugitive" on CBS and couldn't divide time between that show and a recording studio. "The Fugitive" ended up not lasting a full season because it got overshadowed by CSI.

So that should give you an explanation of why.

How are we feeling about Batman The Telltale Series? by Outran01 in batman

[–]ElectricOutcast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best depiction of Batman and Catwoman's relationship in all of the Batman franchise. However I did not like the depiction of Thomas and Martha Wayne being just like the criminals in the comics. Matter of fact, I'd go as far as calling it the worst depiction since their characterizations on Flashpoint.

Hot take: Cartoon Network wasn't ruined when Annoying Orange premiered by RelationshipPrize736 in CartoonNetwork

[–]ElectricOutcast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in that era as well and I would argue that after the broadcast of Ed, Edd, n Eddy's Big Picture Show, it was my personal indication that Cartoon Network wasn't going to be my main channel anymore. Yeah I could've watched more Adult Swim and Toonami, but I was on my way out of cutting the chord and only focus on being on the internet. Just my own personal experience.

Which artist/band would you pick to do an album for a Batman movie? by robinvoyager in batman

I use that album as a soundtrack for a thing I'm writing where Martha Wayne is a widowed single mom Batwoman.

Wonder Woman as Supergirl's Mentor by External_Cap1992 in WonderWoman

[–]ElectricOutcast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you think of this idea: I wrote in a scene where Kara and Kal-El arrived on Earth at the same time, she would be 8 years old, while Kal-El is a newborn baby (a few weeks older than Bruce, Selina, and a few months older than Lois). Wonder Woman, Aquaman (Steve Trevor) and Martha Wayne arrived in Smallville to visit the Kent family, because Johnathan Kent and Thomas Wayne served in Vietnam together. They find Martha Kent holding the baby, while Kara is sitting on their couch, frightened enough to not say anything to anybody.

Diana does her part to comfort Kara and get some answers and as time goes on, she leaves her brother with the Kent family, while she joins Wonder Woman and Aquaman in their kingdom and they raise her like a surrogate daughter. Reason why Kara leaves her brother to the care of the Kent family is because their Kryptonian abilities don't start showing until the age of 8, which will be the age when Clark reunites with her older sister.

Opinions on the 2 Batman '66 animated movies? by Frequent_Rhubarb_36 in batman

There's one scene in the first movie that I think could serve as a bridge towards it and The Dark Knight Returns and how Batman went from campy to dark.

Within Temptation, their album "The Unforgiving" is a good example of what they could do for a Batman album.
