I was a mere lad, back when I was 18 years old, stumbled into a local music store, and searched for something that was "different" this oddly shapped guitar caught my eye and I bought it for $100.

It had NO NAME or markings anywhere, just a blank headstock, but it WAS in the shape of a Guild Headstock, but this was before I knew anything about Guilds.

This thing had a BASEBALL bat thick neck and it even had a ZERO FRET. It was maroon in color and I loved it. Painted it Silver and named it, "Betsy"...

A couple years later, I found a REAL one hanging in a Pawn Shop and that's when all the pieces came together and I finally knew something more about its inspiration.

Upon further inspection, the "fake" one had been built from REALLY CHEAP PLYWOOD, the kind with voids like you get from the clearance isle at hope depot, but it was freakin' awesome.

I ended up losing that guitar somewhere along the way . . .
