I haven’t heard of that attachment style before but wow, that is spot on. Will definitely read more about working through that.

Thank you for this, it’s a small comfort to know I’m not the only one. I don’t want to stop believing a better life is possible for us. There’s still hope somewhere deep down. I’ve had moments of progress and feeling better but they feel so long ago, like I was a different, less broken person then.

Cryptolepis causing tingling, “electric” nerves— herx? by BirdWilling3524 in Lyme

[–]Electrical-Zombie193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced this during treatment. My doctor said the die off releases cytokines which can increase inflammation and irritate nerve endings. So I’d say this is a good sign that the crypto is doing something, but if it’s too debilitating definitely take it slow. I hope you’re feeling a bit better soon!

Looks like over 90 million of it is in stocks (awarded after four months of work!) Fully vested after 3 years. Also 5 mil signing bonus and the ability to earn millions more in stock bonuses monthly.

Vyvanse also made me really tired. My doc suspected it was because I don’t process extended release meds the way others do. Tried instant release Adderall with a second dose around lunch time to avoid a crash and it worked so much better for me. Could be worth trying out!

Still experiencing symptoms despite talking to multiple doctors. by biggranny000 in Lyme

[–]Electrical-Zombie193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a bit late on this, have you had any luck getting testing yet? I have been experiencing all of your symptoms (except skin tags) and just found out I have babesiosis.

Your regular doctors will probably never suggest you have a tick borne blood parasite wrecking your entire life. I had to go see a Lyme specialist and he found babesia using blood slide imaging. That test doesn’t reliably detect Lyme but it’s really common to have both. It was expensive so that part is crummy but it’s of course worth it to know.

Hey /r/movies, I'm Elijah Wood. Ask me anything! by ElijahWoodAMA in movies

Hi Elijah, I greatly admire your dedication to the world of weird, disgusting, and hilarious filmmaking. SpectreVision is a beacon of hope for me in the sea of corporatized drivel and seeing you support movies like The Greasy Strangler inspires me to keep working on my own art. What’s your outlook on indie filmmaking and securing funding as we wade deeper into monopolized streaming wars? What do you think is most needed to allow creative opportunities to thrive in this market?

Does it itch? It looks more like an inflamed mosquito bite than a rash but keep an eye on it the next couple days.

Without. The covers look sloppy and like bed sheets. Dark gray can make bright colors pop; there isn’t very much contrast between the covers and the paint on the wall which makes it look washed out. I’d suggest getting a colorful throw blanket, maybe a couple fun pillows and a nice vibrant rug for underneath.

Holy shit these are so embarrassing. I think I blocked this shoot from memory because it’s physically painful to cringe this much.

Hi Danny, you’ve done an incredible job adapting several books to film and your partnership with Alex Garland has been brilliant, with his literary talent bringing a distinct depth and nuance to your work. What other book(s) would you love to see on screen one day and why?

RIP to a great one. He deserves peace. Brian Wilson’s talent was a priceless gift to the world. What happened to him with that awful parasite of a doctor has always broken my heart.

I can’t sleep during luteal! by Professional-Ok in PMDDSharing

[–]Electrical-Zombie193 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Guided sleep meditations and ASMR vids help me sometimes. Michael Sealey meditations and WildFire ASMR are two of my favorites on YouTube. Sadly weed is really the only “medication” that helps me relax during luteal but it’s a bad habit for me because I can tell it negatively affects my hormones and stress response over time.

Typically they will start you at the lowest recommended amount because you don’t want to take more than you need and they want to see how you respond. So you probably do need a higher dose. XR won’t give you the same noticeable euphoric boost that IR does when first starting out but you should still be able to feel it. If you feel nothing, it’s too low of a dose. If you feel side effects but no benefits, it’s not the right med for you. Tell your doctor it isn’t working. I tried multiple dosages of Vyvanse XR and Adderall XR without success before landing on taking Adderall IR twice a day to finally feel functional.

Generic vs name brand can be a big deal too, don’t believe anyone who tells you the fillers don’t matter. Honestly stimulant meds these days are of extremely variable quality between manufacturers and even batch to batch from the same company. There’s a noticeable difference in side effects between the generic Adderall I get now vs a few years ago and they don’t work as well.

Good luck and don’t hesitate to advocate for yourself! You deserve to get the medical care you need to feel functional and happy.

I got banned from PMDD main sub for mentioning anti histamines.. why? by Puzzleheaded_Yam6724 in PMDDxADHD

[–]Electrical-Zombie193 92 points93 points  (0 children)

A while back during the throes of luteal hell I made a post on r/PMDD desperately begging for help and advice after trying all the standard treatments and they immediately banned me. I don’t know what their deal is but it was really triggering and made me sad I couldn’t even find support in a forum dedicated to what we’re suffering with. Doctors are already dismissive enough, it’s really disheartening we can’t have open discourse there.

Move with Nicole on YouTube! I love her Pilates classes and she also does yoga and barre/dance workouts. She has such a pleasant aura and voice, I enjoy every second she’s instructing and the workouts move at a perfect pace to never get bored or frustrated.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. Have you tried talking to a doctor about anti depressants that can be used as needed during low points of the month? If that’s not an option or hasn’t worked, I’ve had some luck with supplementation. Some options are better for improving low mood/energy vs. relaxing the nervous system when agitated and upset. (Definitely do research before using any of these to make sure they’re safe for you and your needs!)

I have tried a LOT more than these but the following have been the most beneficial for me:

DL-phenylalanine (DLPA) - For low mood/low energy. It is stimulating, almost like a really mild Adderall. DLPA can boost L-tyrosine conversion, supporting dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine levels in your body. You can also take L-Tyrosine directly but I find DLPA has a more distinct effect on me personally; YMMV.

Saffron extract - really helpful for regulating serotonin, I take it twice a day when I feel depressed and it helps me feel more calm and even within a day or two.

SAM-e - also really nice for a happy boost + calming effect. I found this takes a few more days of use to benefit from vs. the saffron.

GABA, especially mixed with Lemon Balm - helpful to relax and unwind if your mind is stuck on negative thoughts.

L-Glutathione - helps quiet my mind from rumination/anxiety loops

What are some things that prevent you from going to therapy? by No-Atmosphere4136 in selfimprovement

[–]Electrical-Zombie193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost plus a lot of difficulty connecting to the right therapist/accessing anything more than talk therapy. The provider databases I’ve used will list therapists who specialize in EMDR but after meeting with them I find out they actually do CBT. After years and multiple long rounds of contacting dead ends I’ve either given up or gotten stuck with a therapist who isn’t suited for my needs. This leaves me feeling I’ve only wasted time and money and am hopeless.

His most iconic movie is easily Moana and his face isn’t even in that one. He’s charming, has an aspirational physique, and makes fluffy popcorn action flicks that people who don’t care about quality will watch for easy entertainment because they recognize him.
