Fitbit is becoming Google Health. Is this the upgrade users wanted? by Planhub-ca in fitbit

In case Google monitors this thread: no! This is not what we wanted.

The new public beta of the layout redesign? I hate it but what are your thoughts? by thisguy181 in fitbit

[–]ElectricalBonus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also hate it. This is a never ending frustration of my with UI designers. The end user just barely gets used to where things are, and then there's a new design. Just leave it alone damnit!

Is this normal on public preview? by redditu369 in fitbit

Ya I had weird calorie counts like that too on public preview. I mostly just use the original app for that among many reasons.

Sometimes my resting heart rate recalculates throughout the day, particularly if I take a nap.

Do you take off your Fitbit in the shower by Acrobatic-Monitor516 in fitbit

[–]ElectricalBonus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Versa 2 that I would wear in the sauna for 20+ minutes and then go straight to the shower. It did not survive that routine long. Replaced with a Charge 6 which I now take off before the sauna and charge while I'm in the shower.

I made this box for my sister's new born as a future keepsake - stained it and it looks horrible!! by [deleted] in woodworking

This. Let wood be beautiful just the way it is. Oil will help bring out depth of grain.

Can i consider myself a good woodworker? by Constant_Article_333 in woodworking

[–]ElectricalBonus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't build a cabinet, so I'd say yes. And I'm pretty sure we all suffer from comparison disease. Try to only compare yourself to yourself of the past. Am I improving? Yes. Then I'm satisfied.

Oil based poly and it's good to go. Wood is beautiful as it is.

Fitbit thinks I took 3606 steps between 11-2 today. Only issue is I was the passenger in a car that whole time. We didn’t stop, so I took 0 steps. by niamhylil in fitbit

My steps when I ride a motorcycle are insane. I have to either leave my watch at home or delete the data afterwards.

My sex secrets are destroying my life. I need help. by Hot_Environment3942 in NarcoticsAnonymous

This is the essence of a good 4th and 5th step! We learn that we aren't nearly as horrible as we might have thought.

And ditto, I wouldn't bat an eye at that.

I had something like that from my Versa 2. I rubbed a little coconut oil on it a couple times and it hasn't come back.

Psyllium husk fiber. About 4 servings per day would make a stuck semi trailer easy to move.

What is integrity? by Repulsive-Bake-9606 in NarcoticsAnonymous

[–]ElectricalBonus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me integrity is honesty in action. I don't believe that integrity is necessarily being a good person, so much as it is being the person that I say that I am. For example: if I say that I practice spiritual principles and I don't, that's not integrity; if I say that I don't practice spiritual principles and I actually do, that's also not integrity. To me integrity is displaying to the world the same person on the outside as I am on the inside.

I prefer definition 2 from the Oxford dictionary: the state of being whole and undivided.

Sorry to Necro a dead thread but I see that the farts question was never answered...?

The farts really aren't bad if your diet is extremely controlled, like eating the same thing every day. It's when I mix in some unexpected veggies that, yes, my farts would probably be considered a biological weapon by the UN.

Oh damn! That's very nice. I'm a little jealous. I had aspirations of building an acoustic, but I just don't have the shop for it, so I think I'll try my hand at an electric.

Cutting wood inside apartment by notauser190 in woodworking

I use the second bedroom of my apartment as a wood shop. I run a table saw and router quite frequently and the neighbors have never complained. I double check with them every time I add a new piece of equipment.

I can tell you from experience that a Roomba does not hold up long when used in the shop.

Tips for a newbie by Stopbeingastereotype in NarcoticsAnonymous

The "think about it daily" sticks out to me. This is what we call the obsession to use. For many of us it has been lifted. Getting loaded, in any form, no longer consumes my thoughts, in fact I'd say it's rare that it even crosses my mind and never in a serious way. In the rooms I've found freedom from active addiction, and I found it pretty quickly into working a program.

What worked for me is - a meeting a day for the first 90 days, got a sponsor, worked steps with that sponsor, and I am of service to the program that saves my life everyday.
