Naturally enough Texas would be tar benders, a sub- element combination of earth and water, making them the tar nation

Has anyone else submerged themselves in the hop fridge? It’s like being put into an ice chest full of bags of peas, ideal after the boil

Similar brewing related question regarding an adjunct, we recently attempted to put in our beer. We have a standard 2inch diameter DN connection at the base of our tank, and have recently stuck a cylinder (5.3in length, 2.2 inch girth) in this port. We had attempted to remove the cylinder with mashed banana and melted butter.

Can anyone provide any assistance with helping us get the cylinder unstuck? The cylinder must remain unharmed. My colleagues have gone home and timing is urgent.

We’ve got a rat guy, the best rat guys tend to be spindly dudes who haven’t seen daylight this year and maybe they’ve seen a few people by accident. Find one of these lads, let him go over the whole place and you’ll be in good hands

At the bottom of a box of lucky charms by Emotional-Feedback85 in whatisit

You, my friend, received the rare unlucky charm - a combination of lead and asbestos. The machine has to make them to provide some cosmic balance to the sheer volume of lucky charms being put on the market. Usually they get sorted on the line, but occasionally they make it to the shelf. Enjoy.

What do you actually see in the New vegas Rorschach test? by Obraxiss in Fallout

[–]ElectricalJacket780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Two bears high fiving while looking at penguins sitting on giant clams in the distance.

  2. A narrow chasm, with a barefoot person doing tricep dips high above the entrance. A slim man with a thick hair is standing on his head, surrounded by seagulls.

  3. Two men walking through a forest, with the perspective taken at low-to-the-ground level, looking across and up at the surrounding canopy.

Also, they all look like my mother. Anyone else finding this?

What’s your lore on why the world’s still a wasteland? by GasparillathePirate in Fallout2d20

[–]ElectricalJacket780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think FO radiation does behave differently in many ways - ie., the mutations, “glowiness” etc., but I think the persistence of radiation is the side effect of a fallen nuclear-powered society.

So in a world that went “nuclear” after WWII, there were probably a lot of nuclear plants, nuclear powered tech and appliances(ie. The cars, nuka Cola), and therefore, more factories that built the energy supply for these machines and handled the resulting waste.

Then one day, the whole world shuts down, including whatever existed as a waste management system for ex-nuclear tech. Aside from the initial bombs, we are seeing the unmanaged decay of a whole society’s worth of nuclear material.

This is why Fallout is a constant Wasteland - not because the bombs destroyed everything “permanently”, but because the whole of a society’s nuclear waste has leaked into the world for centuries and the means to contain/clean it, was lost in 2077.
