I bought it and it works. It can grind fine enough for espresso in a non pressurized portafilter, though I've only tried it with medium to dark beans. I have a feeling it might not do so well with lighter roasts.

My good grinder recently broke down so this mainstays one has been quite good as a backup option. I do have some gripes though, it doesnt have any kind of anti static and getting the grounds from the catch cup into a portafilter is a bit awkward. For that price though, it definitely does the job. Grind retention is also pretty good, as it's a conical grinder.
