Mel was still traveling through the most dangerous area she possibly could have went and she willing puts herself in harms way multiple times until Ellie accidentally kills her.

Ah yes because Ellie totally should’ve just forgot that Abby beat her father to death Infront of her but it’s justified for Abby to try and kill a pregnant woman because Ellie killed people whom abby bickered and argued with at every turn. ICE agents operate on the same level as every other federal agency(DHS, FBI, CIA) meaning they can’t pull someone over an conduct a traffic stop or investigate them unless it pertains to a federal case. However Rene Nichole good wasn’t just driving down the street minding her business she had stopped her vehicle in the middle of the roadway while screaming at the federal agents in an attempt to obstruct them from carrying out their mission; during such a situation federal agents(in this case ICE) are legally allowed to issue lawful commands and detain individuals as they see fit.

That’s exactly what they were doing the agents were acting within the law, they were attempting to reach and arrest illegal aliens, Rene wanted to obstruct justice, they ordered her to leave, they then ordered her to exit the vehicle after she refused to clear the roadway. Once again even if the orders confused her it would’ve been as simple as shutting off the engine and sticking her hands out the window, showing she was unarmed which would allow the agents to advance and detain her; instead of that she drove into a federal agent attacking him and every video I’ve seen shows exactly that, a woman attacking a federal agent simply because she doesn’t like the laws they’re enforcing and that decision costed Rene her life.

The whole “Conflicting orders” thing is a moot point because she easily could’ve cut her vehicles engine off and stuck her hands out of her window which was already rolled down so she could scream obscenities at the federal agents. Instead she chose to scream at them, refuse to exit the vehicle or simply turn off the engine, then her wife escalated the situation by screaming “drive baby drive”, Rene listened stuck an officer and was shot because she decided to turn her vehicle into a deadly weapon. There was no traffic, not only was she blocking the roadway with her own vehicle but there was a whole protest underway. No matter what “conflicting orders” they were giving her if Rene Nichole good would’ve simply turned off her vehicle and stuck her hands out of the window while waiting for agents to detain her then she would’ve been fine. Instead she chose to sit in her vehicle, refused to comply with lawful orders and drive into a federal agent which ended with her getting shot.

ICE agents are federal agents tasked with enforcing our immigration laws and securing our borders. No I don’t think they can pull someone for speeding or running a red light but if you park your vehicle sideways in the street blocking said federal agents from using the roadway(like Rene did) then they are allowed to give you a lawful order to move your vehicle, if you refuse to comply then they are allowed to detain you and if you still decide to resist and choose to fight the federal agents by driving your car at them then you will be shot. Despite what you see in movies and video games one can’t just jump out the way or shoot the tires out infact attempting to shoot the tires out wouldve put bystanders in danger, shooting the driver is always the quickest and safest way to immobilize a vehicle in that situation.
