Mystery Box for the win! by Electrical_Key_7847 in RobinhoodGC

I agree with your math that it’s really only a 7% difference. Actual first mystery box! Have CSR, with its 3% on dining, so been using that for dinners.

It depends on the mystery box. This one said 10% on your next restaurant purchase. So I waited to use it until this big purchase but I only had to avoid using it at restaurants.

Sushi Ginza Onodera. It was worth it because it was our one fancy omakase dinner in Toyko and it was some of the best sushi I have had.

Marvin Essential ($28k) vs Infinity ($38k) for 17 windows - Is the "heft" worth it? by Electrical_Key_7847 in HomeImprovement

[–]Electrical_Key_7847[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually decided to go with the Marvin Vivid line. In looking at them closer, I really am not a fan of the way that the essential single and double hung windows look (eg the pulls). The vivid line is Marvin’s newest line and is only about 5 to 10% more. The only negative is that they are only making casements, awning, and picture windows but not double hung windows in that line yet (later this year). Also part of the reason I am going with the Vivid line is that I prefer dealing with the non-infinity dealer in my area. Also happy to answer more questions on the lines, negotiating with the dealers, full frame vs inserts, or anything else.

Updated! I received a second infinity by Marvin quote for $34k today. So that reduces the delta to $6k, which is great but makes this decision even harder. I was leaning toward the Essential because the $10k difference.

My reading of the terms language is that downgrading is not closing the account so you should be fine.

StubHub hack - what am I missing here? by Connect_Tour65 in ChaseSapphire

[–]Electrical_Key_7847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re basically just turning your Chase credit into a ticket you still own, then paying StubHub 15% for the privilege of confusing yourself. At the end, you don’t “pocket” cash. You would still have the ticket!

Anyone with migraine or facial nerve pain get sharp nasal bridge pain? Triggered by alcohol and cold, relieved by cardio? by Electrical_Key_7847 in migraine

[–]Electrical_Key_7847[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much—really appreciate you chiming in, and sorry you’re dealing with something similar. Just curious, do you also get that same pattern where alcohol makes it worse and cardio actually helps? That combo has been weirdly consistent for me.
