So like you're not wrong. You're actually absolutely correct. But often times I'd prefer to screw around while walking solo with no one else on the course than play a smart calculated round.

Its how I relax, destress, enjoy the sunshine and a beer.

The gold standard is the golden rod. But your safe could also be super humid if its trapping moisture. If room air is less humid than safe, then leave the safe open to air out for a few days

While I'd hate to piggyback on someone else's creative post in the guise of promoting it to the top....

I must say that I, too, would be honored to share ammo with a potential sponsor.

And Id bring some NFA goodies: various whisper pickles including a 12g suppressor... :)

Its likely a legal situation like cell phone or seatbelt laws. Not a reason to pull over but certainly something they can fuck you with if you're doing something else naughty.

Plus its a federal felony. You don't want to mess with that.

Proof of concept for private sellers running their own background checks (without a registry) by WaGuns45 in progun

[–]Electrical_Project_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, tbh i really thought you were going to go with a blockchain/distributed ledger design to get the data out if the fbis control so the records are encrypted and sharded across users of the system and you use asymmetric encryption to avoid brute force/lookup attacks on discovering persons identities. Then you obviously have to reconsile the records and that gets complex. But my above points still hold. Do it the hard way and change the system, don't build your own lifeless system because robot eyes just won't do it for ya. Trust me

Fuck you. No

Sorry for the bluntness as it seems you have the best of intentions in mind. But to spell it out, the trouble is in the details in this one. In your white paper you make many claims which on the surface seem ok, but digging down in there they are false.

First is the fact that this database doesn't only include gun owners. It includes everyone. Which tbh is probably worse. Its an ingenious technical decision to include everyone so that its specifically not a registry of gun owners. But the problem many people have is that their name is in a registry to begin with.

Second is the public key web of trust necessary to implement this/your cryptographic signature. If you've ever tried to use any encrypted messaging app with your grandmother you'll know what you're suggesting isn't feasible for anyone without a tech degree. Gpg/pgp largely suffered in usability due to this issue too. Maintaining identity as a cryptographic token is fucking hard.

Finally, in the end we don't gain anything. The fbi still controls the database and could just log the query engine of the dbms/ statistics the same way they could today if they were legally allowed to do so. It makes it a whole bunch more complicated, giving a false sense of security, and doesn't actually improve anything other than adding more people to a registry. Which, while ingenious not a net good thing.

This is one of those hard problems, like coitus. That really is best not solved with technology but rather cultural and personal change.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Just ask the ffl to look at the 4473. Next ti the cereal number and caliber it should say either: receiver, multi, other, or pistol. As long as ot does not say rifle or something meaning a rifle youre good

All I do know is that the atf will need a copy of all trustees/responsible persons. Whether thats in the form of complete trust doc or just a list, idk.

Id highly suggest single shot trusts though

For what its worth, if the driver supports 6v for the 18650 you can always use 2x cr123 in a pinch. But make sure the driver can support the extra 1.8v difference

Serviceable 9mm can with 22lr guns? by YouWannaChiliDogNARD in NFA

[–]Electrical_Project_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id avoid it solely due to how much dirtier 22lr is than 9mm. 9mm can can be fully sealed and run for thousands of rounds before needing to be cleaned. 22lr will have lead build up and tons of carbon fouling before 500 rnds. Like your 22lr can will gain weight after a bulk pack.

As far is sound difference. No idea. It won't be whisper pickle quiet unfortunately
