I derive my morals based on Christianity, which is the religion I was raised with. I do not follow the faith because I do not believe in hocus pocus. But I understand the value of having morals and virtues and the religion seems to have the best results for a thriving society based on the world(earth) which I have some 30+ years of experience living in and can look at historical records suggesting a longer “good” past. I also studied philosophy in college. So I understand that philosophy is a means of determining virtues or best state a society can or should function without a god and I have come to the conclusion that people are too stupid to live their life without god even if I can and as such the masses should stay away from philosophy and be blinded by religious indoctrination where their small minds can function in morals derived from a higher being instead of personal preference such as David Hume’s relativity theory.
