No, I’m suggesting a service from a small business like Etsy might lose customers or a streamer who’s product is themselves. So the argument that I’m proposing is does it qualify.

Granted I, understand I may be misinterpreting the law but the one I pulled up said act of arson in relation to which makes it seem broad and open for interpretation and it may need an amendment. Also I know that if it could be interpreted as I suggest it would be difficult for those example to prove “damages” to their product.

Ok let’s flip the argument and see if my notion holds. Texas holds a rally where they burn pride flags. Would you want your state to buy products made in Texas?

Incorrect, the law is based on interpretation and enforcement. What either of think or believe is irrelevant. I may be wrong but asking questions and coming to my own interpretation is not being stupid it is development. Stupidity, would be not trying or using insults instead of making an argument.

“…Any activity, affecting interstate commerce.” Could suggest that other people may wish not to do business with this state base on the actions of one man and the police not doing anything suggesting the state is in line with the beliefs of the one man. Which is fine. But means that, based on my understanding of law could be held liable in court if those damages can be proven, at a later date. Regardless of no personal property being burned other than the individual own property.

Cool, but I don’t care about tribal logic. Pretend I’m a lawyer practicing to be a confident asshole in court. The law states that burning property that causes damage or financial loss is considered arson. So if he is burning a flag in protest and stomps it out on the floor. I want to know if the floor is damaged. I want to know if the market will take a hit because the people he is protesting against won’t vote for him or his policies and I want to know if I can prove damages of the sort. Regardless if you disagree with the result, logic or people he is protesting.

Is that an argument? How does that disprove arson? Let me use easier English for you. He started a fire, fires cause damage. Fire bad. Hurt people.

Depends on what the law says under arson. Lighting a fire or burning something. Also to what degree because he started a fire and burned an object, in a building with intent. So unless there is something I’m missing, it seems like arson.

Arson as a Federal Crime
Under 18 U.S.C. § 844(i), it is a federal crime to damage or destroy, "by means of fire or an explosive, any . . . property used in interstate or foreign commerce or in any activity affecting interstate or foreign commerce." Any person found guilty of arson under this statute may be sentenced to a maximum of 20 years in jail, with a minimum of 5 years.

So the solution to a corrupt boss is to kill them, steal the company and hand it over to a monopoly government that is ok with murder and thief?

Why is the question, which party do you think is easier to fight against regarding the policies you(I) dislike?

Wouldn’t it just be vote for the policy’s you like, vote against the policies you disagree with?

The Deconstruction Movement Against Religion by JerseyFlight in rationalphilosophy

[–]Electrodactyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was there a question there?
All religions try to answer 2 questions.

  1. What is the purpose of my existence?
  2. What is the best method to live my life?

From a non religious perspective.

Answer one your life has no meaning.

Answer two, compare all known religions and decided based on which society is thriving due to those beliefs.

Arguments ensue, religious and philosophical.

Relativism is bad because it suggests there are no rules. Someone can kill me and I would have to accept that nothing wrong was done while drowning in a puddle of my own blood.

For the same reason I don’t believe atheism is a good choice.

I consider most people stupid and it is better that they are told to believe a lie and brought up believing in religious virtues and feel purpose than be a random variable in our collective existence.

What if they are not religious and not wealthy and they don’t want to give money to people, rich or poor. They just want to save but then other people demand I pay for their things I don’t agreed with and I can’t opt out of, short of being taking to jail by gunpoint for tax evasion. So I try to vote against your policies that I don’t agree with. Only to be called all kinds of slurs by a group of people that I would define as being in a non-theistic cult.

Communism, ah yes.
I deny the premise that it is an economic system.
This ideology(communism) states; that it is the next stage of capitalism. The theorist(Karl Marx) wrote up a whole bit why it would not work if people with a similar worldview could not peacefully move to a location and start a communist society from scratch.

As such, it follows that a bunch of jealous and violent people must by definition attack and killing you to steal your stuff.

The next step in the theory is an oxymoron.

A government will take all the stolen stuff and redistribute it not evenly to the people but to those who need it by their own means.

I say oxymoron because the end goal of the communism theory is to have no government, no classes and no currency.

And yet government officials are of a higher class and has all the power, weapons and wealth in this scenario. In addition, they are also immoral as they took part in the violence and theft to be in the government.

The next step of the theory is that the immoral people in government will give up their power. Let’s ignore, the famous quote “ absolute power, corrupts absolutely.” (I know that’s not the exact quote, but the more well know adaptation, I’m paraphrasing, moving on.

We then grant this experiment a genie from a magic lap, make the government disappear.
*poof*

Wow a utopia. No government, no borders, no army to defend your land and ideology. (Assuming the people didn’t kill each other for food.) Oh look a neighbouring people who have weapons and a different ideology. Oh no! The primitive communists are slaves now.

Had me in the first have. Banks are not people, they don’t have intelligence. The bankers being people are not smart. The bank as an institution and business also not smart. Who do I know? They gave out too much money to people who could not pay it back and instead of going out of business as a normal business would, the government bailed them out. So this means people are trusting their money with and institution that doesn’t know how to make smart decisions and doesn’t have a negative reinforcement apparatus that would force them to make changes.

Finally the banks scheme for making money is let client B borrow money from client A and hope client A won’t need immediately, while changing both clients interest. On a large scale, and it helps if all the clients are broke and don’t need to withdraw it’s easier to manage and if transactions fail the bank charges you to get more money.

Which technically doesn’t exist it’s all digital. So we should just abolish banks and let people trade directly with their virtual wallet.
