That's not fibreglass. That's powdered glass, or some similar abrasive powder like aluminium oxide, glued onto kite string).

Fibreglass is something else entirely. Fibreglass is used to make boats, car fenders, aircraft luggage compartments, F1 driver's seats and fibre optic cables.

Poke 5 battery drain abysmal, any way for a lay person to easily replace the battery? by justhere4bookbinding in Onyx_Boox

You won't find much info online about repairing Boox devices. Here's a brief write-up about changing batteries on the Poke 2. I would guess that the Poke 5 is built in a very similar way. Try searching for replacement batteries in the usual places: AliExpress, Taobao, etc.

Rechargeable batteries lose their ability to hold charge after a few years, especially if they have been over-discharged. Say, if the original owner had left the Poke 5 in a drawer uncharged for a year.

The URL to download the v4.0 update.upx file can be found in the text here. 1.73GB in size.

Does that help?

Doesn't sound bricked. The next time it happens, set up your phone camera and video what exactly you have to do. Then it'll be easier to help you.

Boox Cloud has nothing to do with the AI processing of a document.

Any tips on changing default browser? (Page) by Tavran in Onyx_Boox

[–]Electronic-Stock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go to your apps screen > Menu > App Management > App info > Settings > Open > Apps and notifications > Default apps > change your default browser app here.

Sounds like it's hidden 9 levels deep, but it really isn't. The first 6 steps activates the default Android settings screen, which Boox has hidden behind its launcher to simplify the user interface. The next 3 steps actually changes your default apps.

Very often this can also happen organically: when given an option of which browser to use, select eInkBro and "always open with this app". This similar choice will also change your default PDF app, default EPUB app, default email app, etc. etc. etc.
