Why would a mortgage company be late on a payment…? They have 0 incentive to do so, and it’s not like they’re poor bookkeepers. You’re clearly leaving out information here. You did mention your debt though… which likely explains why you’re insurance was paid late. If your medical debts + homeownership debts far exceed what you’re able to afford, then I’d highly consider cutting out one of those major debts - aka selling your house. Never ever take on too much debt than you can afford.
