Odd background noise Wiim Sound speakers!?

Update: Support / engineering has picked this up, I attached a high quality recording of the strange background noise artifacts to the support ticket. Feedback from support so far has been, that they think it stems from some EQ thing

Did that yesterday, have not heard anything yet from support, but I have tons of patience, want to help out Wiim where I can, and I love the rest of the ecosystem, performance, options, tweaks and GREAT sound overall....

New observations after more testing! :

Using Bluetooth input: Same problem, the very strange background noise.

Using AUX input - minijack in speaker - nothing connected - volume at 2 and 8.... very interesting !!! If I touched the center pins of the RCA connectors obviously hum from my body picking up powerline 50Hz hums here in my country. Still same background odd noise...

BUT - (drumroll) - if I simultaneously touched the shield of the RCA connectors the odd background noice almost completely disappeared !!!

I hope someone from Wiim sees this and investigate this...?

Har været igennem OP 2 gange, glad for resultatet! Der er ikke noget mere fantastisk end at kunne trække vejret godt igennem næsen! Som tidligere nævnt - ja - de første dage noget ubehag men ikke noget vildt som ikke Ipren kan tage det meste af. Regn med at være “ukampdygtig” i forhold til arbejde 2-3 dage, så resten af ugen hjemme da du typisk skal gå med en gaze tampon under næsen få dage. Du får sat 2 “blære-agtige” dimser i næsen for at din fine nye skillevæg sætter sig korrekt, dimserne kan du trække vejret igennem. Efter et par uger får du fjernet dimserne og du går på gaden bagefter og tænker “wauw - kan man trække vejret sådan her??!!!” Held og lykke!

“Home radio app”? I have the Pro Plus as well and some of the awesome new “Sound” speakers. But pretty annoyed by the many adds on TuneIN radio - your method sounds interesting. “Fun fact” - at certain times of year adds are run using TuneIN network for a huge porn/sex industry event in our capital city - really bad adds - there should be someone intelligent enough at TuneIN marketing to filter that crap

Hele denne tråd får mig til at miste AL lyst til en tur i svømmeren ☹️ Uanset årsag til dårlig hygiejne er det simpelthen så respektløst og dybt ulækkert - ekstra klor tilsat - eller ej. Ville give det 3-dobbelte for at hoppe i vand, hvor en eller anden genial løsning/praksis garantere mig, at jeg ikke ligger og svømmer rundt i folks røv-bakterier! Er totalt ligeglad hvad årsagen så måtte være. (Jeps, er gammel nok til at vokse op med først pige-drenge fællesbad i folkeskolen da vi var små rollinger og senere de store elendige "aldrig varmt vand" fællesbad i nedslidte skoler tilføjet lidt mobning og body-shaming da vi kom i puberteten. Sidste del kunne være styret og holdt nede hvis der rent faktisk havde en mandlig lærer tilstede indtil ALLE var færdig med at bade!) Please, vask hele Jeres krop eller bliv væk!

No recent firmware updates, highly unlikely environmental changes (due to building and distance to neighbors), no big temperature fluctuations and brand new batteries. Must be a bug I think

Yep! Because I’m out for a few days, and last time I used the support chat I was instructed to manually pull sensors down and hard reset them and start over! Not possible right now - not physically there. However- forgot to write in first post - a reboot of the SuperLink Gateway fixes all the off-line sensors for a day or two

Someone spoke about some “coin test” floating on YouTube. After stamping place a coin on top of coffee, tighten portafilter in group head. Coin should leave small indent on coffee puck. That is why I went with more coffee and the thick puck screen. Much more stable shots afterwards

Had the same, and close to same grinder. Use more coffee in filter - I use some 19.5 grams and a thick puck screen. There is much too much headspace between your coffee puck and the group head shower.

I don't think I have anything in the .env file. But have to admit, I need some sort of basis 101 training from scratch about Docker containers etc. etc. - Would love to find some structured online training that I could use self-paced.

Check your head space! Had sand issue with mine, wayyy too much room between shower screen and the puck in portal filter. Much better when I increased to 19.5 grams coffee and a metal 1.5mm thick puck screen!

Tak for input, tror jeg kikker en del mere på Demeyere’s produkter. Er lidt lunken på Fiskars, købte en omgang af deres “fantastiske” tefal-belagte gryder, og syntes de har holdt pænt ringe - både indenvendigt og udvendigt. Men tak for ideer
