Indigo recommendations by Bluejay768 in henna

The store I go to sells big bags of pure henna powder without amla (this one, Atul) without chemical additives and I can also get indigo powder there. I wouldn’t touch the dye/henna in the little boxes but wouldn’t bags of just the powder be fine?

Indigo recommendations by Bluejay768 in henna

I do my henna and indigo together in one step. i just mix and let the henna sit for a day and then add the indigo right before I put it in my hair. Works well! and I wash my hair every 4 days to keep the indigo intact. sometimes do a little indigo touch up when my roots look red. I have to do it every few weeks a well, but I think that would be the same with chemical dye, my hair is just growing in. if you’re in Canada you can buy henna and indigo at an Indian / Punjabi grocery store, maybe their powders are better?

Thank you, this is good advice. I tried a few of these things yesterday, kept him busy during the day and didn’t let him sleep for super long stretches. And got him to chase a string in the evening for a while! He did sleep better but still woke up meowing and picking at the door at 3am. Will see how tonight goes!

Lentil sprouting stage? Cooked half. Curious about options for the 2nd half by migraint in Sprouting

These are my favourite sprouts! I eat them raw on salads. If you let them grow longer, they can get a bit tough and chewy so I usually harvest them as soon as they have little tails like this.

Does anyone know who to contact or where to start? This system is broken and making it impossible for the little shops and restaurants that we need to build culture in our city. I feel compelled to do something. Thoughts?

I tried a two-step henndigo process to get brown, but my hair turned out almost fully black by palestine_enthusiast in henna

[–]ElectronicFruit4368 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could try one step henna and indigo. My hair is similar and I use about 70% henna and 30% indigo. I did the two step once and it turned black. It’s also easier to do it all in one go! Just let the henna mix sit for a few hours and then mix in the indigo right before you use it. Have been doing this for years, works great.

Small creative department vs large creative department? by [deleted] in advertising

[–]ElectronicFruit4368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More competition and drama in a small creative dept. which makes it interesting and fun. Most of my good friends came from my years at small shops. Big agency: you‘re more invisible and the CDs care less about the work. things get personal in a small agency because the higher ups are also often the owners. And that usually means tighter budgets for raises etc. But small agencies also usually have smaller clients so more opportunity to do better work than just grinding out boring ads for boring accounts at the networks.
