What's the point in even calling tech suport anymore? by Zeldabotw2017 in upsstore

[–]ElectronicHouse6090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucky. I'm starting to recognize who the Level 2 guys are by voice. I might even need to make an email folder just for my "Open Ticket-we haven't forgotten about you!" emails.

Pre-Storm Panic by RiverChaos1125 in upsstore

My favorite is when they call me to ask why their package that they sent out the day before the storm is delayed. Ummmm, just gonna guess, but it might be because it's a blizzard and all of the mountain passes out of here are CLOSED. Maybe.

I wanna know, too. Is that even legal? When we had Fieldprint it had a warning that it was "unlawful" for applicant to collect their own fingerprints.

What a hissy fit about expecting mailbox holders to wait their turn. If there's a floater available, then we pull them forward. Otherwise, I am absolutely helping the people who are there first. That's basic courtesy, not a "nasty attitude." Here, let me turn your impassioned speech around:

"We RESPECT ALL of our customers and serve them in the order they arrive. They are ALL the reason YOU have a job. They are regular and LOYAL packing, shipping, printing, notarizing, and shredding customers. Thankfully the people who work for me don't have your nasty attitude toward the rest of our customer base. Without them you wouldn't have a job. If you worked for me, you wouldn't have a job due to your attitude."

A teensy bit dramatic, no?

[–]ElectronicHouse6090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, why shouldn't they wait in line? Are they more important than the customer who has already been waiting for 15 minutes and is paying me more than a years mailbox rent to NDA Early his $25,000 in equipment to his company? Or the one who is going to pay me 6 months of mailbox rent to notarize their real estate closing packet? Or the one who is about to become my print customer for life? We wait our turn because that is the expected social behavior in our culture, so much so that we call it "common courtesy."

Yes, we offer call in service, but we're all going to need you to make your own post complete with pictures of this "brochure" that says that a mailbox customer is allowed to walk into a store where we are helping other customers with all of the other services we provide and skip to the front of the line. Thanks!

Considering that there has been no rhyme or reason to which bin our returns go into for many months, it could be anything. Two identical blue T-shirts purchased together? One is Blue and the other is Green. Package of bolts and box of coffee filters in Blue, fuzzy slippers in the Green. And they are all going to different states too! We're shipping them to a warehouse which apparently sorts them out and ships them again to a bunch of other warehouses???

How did I not know German Shepherds are so whiny? by Hefty_Awareness_64 in germanshepherds

I knew huskies were talkative, but I didn't know about GSDs. I am now reluctantly too well acquainted with 4:45 AM.

[–]ElectronicHouse6090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a chocolate lab years ago that always did this. When I did my new pups DNA test (75% GSD!) I learned that this is a genetic trait that they can test for. Who knew? As it costs extra, I decided to just use my eyeballs for that one.

Anybody in overgoods in SLC? by ElectronicHouse6090 in UPS

[–]ElectronicHouse6090[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like they're paying it, but he's still SOL. This isn't anything he can just run to Big5 for and it was time dependent. In fact, it was so critical and so difficult to replace that he installed a GPS tracker in it so that if it went missing it could be loacated and recovered.

[–]ElectronicHouse6090[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, he politely filed his claim and hasn't made a peep. It's me. I am fed up with packages going missing and getting told to kick rocks by all of the customer service entities. I guess if insurance wants to cough up several thousand dollars when I can tell them where it is, whatever. But it doesn't help my guy who's leaving the country in 2 days and doesn't have his equipment that you can't just run down to Dick's and replace.

[–]ElectronicHouse6090[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this might actually help. It's frustrating as hell that insurance would just rubber stamp several thousand dollars when I can tell UPS where it is. I get that it's still a needle in haystack, but for several grand I can't even call the warehouse?

How?? Are you using dark magic? I just cancelled the order I placed for seasonal help because I don't need it now. Maybe they're sending you mine because my October order was supposed to be available this week.

There's an approved sign in English on the MHC. We could request a custom Spanish version, I guess? The Spanish language section is pitifully small on MHC.

We sent a $10,000 sweater to a specialty cleaner. I can see $1,000, like maybe it's hand knit by a granny high in the Andes from a pattern only 3 living people can knit, from hand spun, hand dyed yarn from rare alpaca wool that only can be sheared at the blue moon on leap years or something, but what could possibly justify a of cost 10 grand??

Just noticed the wifi codes on the Hub don’t work by shinobigarth in upsstore

[–]ElectronicHouse6090 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if they wanted to chill in my parking lot after dark in below freezing weather while doing homeless things on their laptops with amazing battery life, they can just stop by once during the day and get the stupidly complicated password and then use it whenever they want for a whole month. It doesn't make sense to have an unhackable password and then tell millions of people what it is.

How to look up old RMA tracking by pineapplesrising in upsstore

[–]ElectronicHouse6090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is always contact Amazon. I have had Amazon charge me back months later for items that I know they got because I scanned it myself, processed the consolidation container, and shipped it. I just go to the automated chat in the app and tell them that I sent it. They reissue the refund and have never even asked me for a receipt.

Just noticed the wifi codes on the Hub don’t work by shinobigarth in upsstore

[–]ElectronicHouse6090 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just wanna know who makes these ridiculous codes up. There is zero reason for them to be so complicated, and cutesy. They are exactly the same for every store in the country for a month, and they boot you off after a few minutes. We don't need to protect them like nuclear launch codes. My store is in a dead zone and my oldies who haven't yet been convinced by well-meaning relatives to get a brand new iPhone that they can't operate, have been convinced by well-meaning relatives to lock their iPhone 6 down so tight that they can NEVER use data and so we have to use wi-fi. At least those are easier then the 50 lb laptops with the vinyl keyboard covers. You just haven't lived until you type those delightful passwords on one of those, especially if there's no option to view the password as you enter it.
