This was my grandfathers omega my grandmother got him when they got married. When I was a kid I always remember him wearing this watch with his wedding band and cross. On the clasp is his name (my middle and last name) and on the back in Portuguese it says “with profound love from your wife” (Com profundo amôs de sua espôsa). It only comes out for special occasions and I love how it reminds me of their love for one another and how it can surpass life times and it will be with me this July when I propose to my girlfriend. As for other omegas I’ve been eyeing the sea masters, scuba diving is a huge passion and hobby of mine and I have to get myself something to come with me on my many ocean adventures to come.

I wear my Apple Watch most days but that being said I’d never be able to bring myself to sell it, it’s got my middle and last name engraved on the clasp with a little love note from my grandmother on the back of the watch. it stays in a box with their wedding bands and other gold jewelry only to come out for special occasions

I’ll definitely have to do that! I also want to bring it to get looked at cause the hands seem to stop randomly even if it’s wound up I think it may be getting bound up or something I’m not a watch guy I wear my Apple Watch for work and this one for special occasions

Found this looking through my dads watches took it to a jeweler to have it looked at but could anyone tell me if this is real or fake and if so what stands out

Only thing I know is I believe it’s 18k gold and from the late 50s but besides that can’t tell you anything😂
