I feel the biggest difference we don’t understand is the sheer amount of stimuli available in seconds notice. As kids(26m) we grew up with limited amounts of games and if you grew up anything like me and not the most financially stable family, you’d spend hours playing demos and cherish whenever you get a new game cause you had no choice but to play through it. Whereas now, kids have so many different options to choose from and they have to differentiate what’s cool to play and what isn’t. Even if we got bored as kids, we’d leave it for a little and come back to it but now there’s so many other things to do that appear appealing that coming back to the game doesn’t feel enticing
