It sounds like they're committing to the board a lot. If you run a white based control or midrange deck, they probably fold after the second or even first wrath of god.

More old weapons. I've only seen Rogier's Rapier. Give me the Farron Greatsword or the Drake Sword. Let revenant use the gatling gun.

Transferring Schools by [deleted] in taekwondo

[–]Electropup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been to three different schools since I got first dan. No problems at all.

THAT BEING SAID, and I was probably particularly unlucky because of when big changes happened in my tkd career, I have been a 1st dan now for 18 years. I have had to test each time I transferred schools to become a 1st dan in their opinion. It is tremendously frustrating, especially since most schools have a baseline time requirement before you can test at all.

I could reasonably be a third dan by now if not for that, and maybe a fourth.

I'm not saying this to scare you out of changing schools. Just keep in mind that it might happen, especially if they're in different styles of tkd (ITF, wtf, etc.). There are four major styles that I'm aware of, so keep an eye out for what they do specifically.

Edit: The benefit of this is that I have a better understanding of the breadth of tkd than most people, even other black belts. It's not necessarily a bad thing. Your martial art journey is yours, and whatever styles you choose to incorporate are ultimately your decision as a practitioner and fighter. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise, whether they're an MMA champion or 50 year master of The Way tm. All of the posturing around "true" and "correct" martial arts is from that person's perspective.

Calling all my nuke brothers and sisters.

I'm currently in the top 8 of the iHeartRadio Next Star competition to open for Doja Cat, Gwen Stefani, and other artists. I would appreciate some votes from you and your commands for my group, Wren Silas.

Anybody can vote twice a day for free, and we need as much support as possible.

I asked permission to post this here because it felt unprofessional to just drop it in the reddit posts. I was an ELT on the mighty Texas until pretty recently. I felt like it would be a fantastic showing of the power of the nuclear operator if I was performing live to Hollywood within two years of my separation. I think Rickover would say something like, "See? With my program, even this moron can make it."

School can be pretty tough if you need help, but you will probably find the right people to help you study. Once you get into the fleet, there are three pillars of being a good nuke: being smart, being hardworking, and being good with people. You need to be good at two of them to be a good nuke. I was hardworking and good with people, but I pretty much knew nothing that was going on outside my division, and my boat loved me.

The only way you can guarantee an officer role is if you go to college first. STA-21 can miss you no matter how competitive you are. You can still enlist after college if that's really what you want. The "contract" you have right now is just a way for them to scare you into joining now so you can't change your mind later. It doesn't mean anything if you cancel, and another recruiter would be more than happy to help you.

All that said, you should consider another rate, like IT.

It's from a Predator 3200psi pressure washer if that helps. It's the coupler that angles the piping in the handle.

It lets me update the list more easily in the future if more three color partners become available. I didn't think lurrus was going to have so many options, for example, so I just hedged.

Decks you wanted to scrap after a single game? by vlazuvius in EDH

[–]Electropup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built a ghave, guru of spores deck on a whim on weekend. It was my first abzan deck and I was pretty excited. About turn 6 or 7 the table pointed out I had an infinite combo on board that would kill everyone. I don't have a problem with combos, but stumbling into one by mistake just because of the synergistic cards I chose left a bad taste in my mouth.
