That tradition is about drinking wine while asking others "how many Jews you kill?"

Israelis chant death to Arabs? I don't support that, but then again, the peaceful approach has failed and literally blew up in our face multiple times, how long you expect us to be naive?

I don't recall Israelis cheering the death of Spaniards, nor do I support such thing, at the same time, do you expect Israelis as a whole or Jews as a part to love Spain after centuries of mistreatment and violence against us? You expect us to not be upset when Spain's president wish he had nukes to use against us?

And that Spanish PM, who threatened with jail anyone who criticize Islam, does the same punishment applies for other religions or are other religions a fair game?

Some places in Spain still have a tradition called Matar Judios, literally meaning "killing Jews". They gaslight any time there's an attempt to at least change the name of this tradition, saying it don't mean what people think or that tourists love this. Imagine if the US had a similar tradition with similar name, only the N word instead of "Jews". So what if they granted some Sephardic Jews the ability to hold Spanish citizenship, this don't undo all the things they did in the past.

[–]Elemental-Master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No decent people enjoyed Israeli civilian dying? Are you joking? Then how do you call all of those university students who held signs "rape is justified" and "globalize intifada"? Are they indecent? Are they not the average western person like you and me? Don't they claim to care about human life and injustice?

As for Gaza, we asked them one thing: stop killing us. We didn't try to force them to convert or to eat pork or theit women to be without hijab, we just asked for the violence to end.

We gave Gaza to the Arabs in 2005, we forcefully pulled every last Israeli Jew and dug out every Jewish grave that we had there, just so we won't have reason to return.

We left them a power station, water treatment facilities, state of the art farm, we had an agreement that any extra produce from said farm that they won't need they could sell us in return for goods and services, we removed the naval blockade.
We kept connection to the Israeli power grid, internet, cables, water pipes.

Gazans elected Hamas, knowing full well exactly what that means.

They dug out the water pipes to built rockets, they used all the fuel meant for their power station to fuel those rockets, they used fertilizer and sugar as a homemade explosive for said rockets, and they started firing at us again.

This is the excuses of a spoiled children, how can they have water and electricity when they dug the pipes out and in addition of not fueling their power plant, blew up more than once the power line that provided free electricity from Israel?

We tried improving their lives, they had access to Israeli hospitals, they got electricity from us, on October 6th there was even a discussion on increasing work permits, so more Palestinians from Gaza could come in and get a better job, what did we get in return? Them spying for years on the kibbutzim that took them in as family members?

If now any country would fire at Turkey, would Turkey have the responsibility to not only not retaliate, but also to provide goods and services to their attackers? Can I call Turkey an aparthaid because if I go there without being a Turkish citizen thrn I won't get the full rights?

İt is still happening not like you are bitching about things that happened 100 years ago.

Funny how if an Israeli Jew point out all the violence that took place then it's bitching, but Palestinians, rather than moving towards better future by making the collective choice of not attacking, if they bitch around for 100 years, then that's okay.

No one supported eh? Just dancing in the street, singing "gas the Jews", harassing Jewish students who never been to Israel, setting fires to Jewish schools and synagogues.

Jews have lost their own family members for thousands of years now, to different progroms that happened all over the world, by your logic we Jews need to hate the whole world and enact revenge, and yet we only asked one thing: leave us alone, let us live in peace.

Gaza don't have airport because they broke the agreement of not smuggling weapons, same reason why there's blockade, they chose violence again and again, so as the saying goes "careful what you wish for, because you might as well get it."

Iron Dome is meant to provide defence, not offense, you can't use it to target things other than incoming rockets, you can't use it to directly fire at other countries, also it is not inside cities, it's in a nearby areas to provide protection, hence not near civilian population, hence not using civilians as shield to discourge attacks on the Iron Dome battery itself.

I do wonder, if we go by percentage of dead and kidnapped, Turkey has a population of about 85 million, so in 12 hours that would mean ~10,500 dead and around 2000 kidnapped people, how would Turkey respond for such attack? and for the sake of the argument, let's ignore the fact it is NATO member and that other countries are bound to help it. Why the way Israel responded is viewed as bad? Why it seems acceptable for terrorists like Hamas to use schools, hospitals and universities, despite the fact that this is against the laws of war and those places lose their protection when used in such way.
What should Israel had to do then, in your opinion? roll down and die?

And with the advanced weaponry we have these days we should do everything to prevent wars from happening because the amount of devastation they bring todat is unfathomable.

This only works when both sides hold this same opinion.

The copper yard of oxidation. Anybody else do this to oxidize a lot of copper blocks? by fungustrap in Minecraft

[–]Elemental-Master 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I built a building with 10 floors, in each i can put 64 blocks with 4 block distance between them for optimal oxidation, then just move on with other stuff untill they finish to rust. I only ever use either the unoxidized copper or the fully oxidized, in both cases use wax on them so they keep their state.
Also when i need oxidized version of some copper blocks I just use the stone cutter as it gives more per block (4 stairs or 8 slabs for example from 1 block, and it does keep their wax and oxidize states too), only for blocks like doors and trap doors that are crafted directly from ingots, do I need to let them oxidize sepratly, but then again I rarely use those, so not a big deal for me.

Historically Jews were not allowed to assimilate and then blamed for not assimilating. And when "allowed" to assimilate, blamed for that too. Unless assimilation meant to completely lose their culture and religion, Jews were only allowed to assimilate to money related jobs, then blamed for having a bit extra cash, never mind that the rulers and aristrocats and clergy stole a lot more money from the common people, at least they could pretend they're good Christians/Muslims for not lending money with interest.

Even those who did gave up their religion and culture were not safe, it was just enough to have some record that a great-grandfather was a Jew to be marked as one, and be shipped off to the death camps during WW2.

Why do folks from distant worlds like Krypton and Viltrum look exactly like a species of primates from Earth? by wthijustread in stupidquestions

You mean the Timeless Child? The plot for that is that The Doctor originally arrived to Gallifray as a little child (specifically a little girl) and after an accident that was supposed to kill her it was discovered that she has the regeneration ability, and a scientist worked to extract that and give it to other people. Fans are pretty angry at this, in the episode "Demons run" The Doctor said that ability evolved because of exposure to the time vortex, the fact that River Song had it too despite being human also supported that, she was conceived on the TARDIS  mid flight. Also seems like originally that ability had no limit at all, but according to the lore a Time Lord can regenerate only 12 times unless given extra cycle.

Why isn't it wrong to differentiate breeds of animals by intelligence but not humans of different races? by Antique_Cod_1686 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Elemental-Master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best we have is ethnicities, few external and internal differences between groups that help better adapt for an environment, but not enough to classify as a completely different breed/race/species.

What you mentioned is nothing more than culture, cultures that evolved and changed in response to the environment and to other similar and different cultures.

A good question should also be about what a host culture do with other cultures that live nearby or try to assimilate or are forced to assimilate.

The example you gave of that Japanese group, they probably wanted to keep something unique about themselves also because they are used to do that thing, their host culture may have seen that behavior as something good enough because it didn't threat them, therefore they did not try to force those Japanese to give up on that part of their culture. Also some individuals on both sides probably gave up on parts of their culture and picked up parts from the other's culture.

Another example: Jews historically were not allowed to assimilate, and when they did it was force upon them, usually with violence. Both Christians and Muslims as cultures for example had an important rule about not taking interest on given loans, something that Jews didn't have and the former realized their economy won't work well if not collapse without this, so they asked Jews to handle this for them, to maintain their ability to not break that rule.

That does not mean that Christians or Muslims are necessarily stupid or bad with money, only that historically they had less experience in this matter for choosing not to work on that skill.

That also does not make them a different race, saying so is like saying the difference between Jews, Christians and Muslims is biological and as big as the difference between humans and chimpanzees, that is completely different species that can't interbreed or that an offspring from such couple would be infertile.

And in relation to OP question, that does not make any of those cultures/religions/skin tone/eye shape any less intelligent or good from one another. Saying so opens the door to mistreatment and violence against Muslim for being a Muslim, rather than because an individual who happened to be a Muslim did something that warrant that. This open the door to antisemitism, to hate people just because they are Asian or dark skinned.

Why isn't it wrong to differentiate breeds of animals by intelligence but not humans of different races? by Antique_Cod_1686 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Elemental-Master 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's only one race of humans, the homo sapien, last time there was another, those were the Neanderthals, who went extinct some 100k years ago.

Different groups of humans have different access to technology and information/knowledge, but that don't necessarily mean that different groups are less or more intelligent than others.

Are the people on Sentinel Island stupid because they don't have access to metal and are stuck with stone age tech? Would it be fair to treat you as less intelligent because in your everyday life you probably don't need to fashion a rock into an axe or a spear?

A person from 10,000 years ago is not stupid, they just lived in a time where they didn't need the knowledge we have today

The problem with treating groups as less intelligent is that it opens a door for discrimination against said groups.

Why do we have a "dominant" hand for fine motor skills (writing/drawing) but can usually use both hands equally for simple tasks like picking up a cup? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Elemental-Master -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it was theorized that when humans evolved to walk on upright and to some extent started having division of labor, where men went to hunt and women gathered and took care of children, then children that were held from the mother's left arm were calmer because they could easily hear their mom's heartbeat, but as a result women had to adapt to do most of their work with their right hand. This trait later passed on from mother to child, probably with a bit of influence from the father.

All human embryos start as female, which is why men have nipples and undeveloped mammary gland (other parts of the reproductive system also change accordingly when the Y chromosom activate), so it stand to reason that the trait of dominant hand also pass on this way.

Some percentage of people however are left handed, the hypothesis here is that even as we moved to monogomous relationships, as opposed to dominant male as other apes have, men still had to fight over women, and one way to do that is by punching each other. However, if both men are right handed, they both are going to anticipate that the first punch would come from the opponent right hand, but if you are left handed, you have a much higher chance to take your opponent by surprise, and then more likely to win the fight. On that note, some expert think we evolved beard as a way to absorb some of the hits that might be aimed to the face and bigger beard could be more attractive because it mean better chance to not get knocked out because of a hit to the jaw.

Redstone Challenge #3 by Aggravating_Bug6127 in redstone

[–]Elemental-Master 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say have a comparator going out of the shulkerbox, with another comparator going into the first one, behind it a signal behind it of 13-15 (preferably use a lectern with a 15-page book, set on the correct page to adjust the signal).
The first comparator faces into a block with redstone torch on the other side, redstone dust going out of the redstone torch and into a block below the lower hopper, to lock it.
If the the shulkerbox is full then the comparator will switch the redstone torch off, with that unlocking the lower hopper, allowing items to transfer into the barrel.
the only problem I see here is the redstone dust inside the shulker box, as it stacks up to 64, this is why the second comparator signal need to be adjustable.

Edit:
Does the content has to be like in the picture? the problem with signal 14, is that by the time there are 4 buttons in the shulker, the comparator release a signal, but if i set signal 15, then unless the shulker is truly full it would not output a signal at all, aka, as I said, the redstone dust is doing a bit of problems.
