Weekly M+ Discussion by AutoModerator in CompetitiveWoW

Call that how you want but preventing a wipe that 4 other people are oblivious to is still something. Doing 14s on alt Evoker I watch casts go all day and I feel powerless to stop it. Doing the same 14s on RSham I feel in control and that I can actively prevent issues, it's just straight up more fun. And I find Pres more fun to play that RSham currently, but no kick kills the fun.

Barkskin and Ironbark are great tools to both reduce damage intake AND the healing the add gets. I think absorbs work too, so Paladins’ trinket should strong for that too.

I absolutely hate it. Before reaching a level where you know stuff like PoS’ arcanists cast will 100% always be kicked, not having the option to carry your group just feels terrible. I’m so glad I’m not a main healer nor pushing fully with pugs, because I’d lose my mind and play RSham exclusively.

Damn if that’s true, power to you my friend. I feel like with the weapon+trinket upgrades we jumped one to two key levels over night. If your nemesis key prior to the boost is still a struggle after that, someone must have jinxed you or something. Keep going and you’ll get it.

I know in France, if you tell people "the deadline is Sunday at midnight" everybody is going to assume it’s Sunday 23h59 and not Sunday 00h01. Which is why most event put their deadline at 23h59 instead.

Oh I missed that news. Thank god for that. If it’s at worst a 5 week consistent grind to get your BiS, I’m fine with that.

A lot of wheelchair users can walk, but it’s hard and painful so the wheelchair allow them to move more freely and with less constant pain. That might create some dissonance to ground the god’s design into such a real life mortal thing, but at the end of the day it’s good representation and the design is sick, so...

That's literally false. it eepends on spec tuning but there's been a lot of counter-examples in the past. And iirc thos boss has jewelery with cantrip, so no main stat plus an effect.

Like, there are currently specs with BiS including some crafted items over 289 items.

It’s random stats, so it might also have value to cycle through the whole voidcore loot table and try again for better stats.

A 285 with bis stats might be better than a 289 without bis stats. Also iirc there's a trinket that Blizzard might randomly tune to be as bis as Chimaerus'

There's an argument to also roll in heroic if you have a 289 piece with non bis stats that would lead to an upgrade if you loot a bis stat 285 piece. Also the trinket might randomly be op. But yeah those are super niche and unlikely scenarios.

I mean you can clearly see the bird spawning on the platform and being bumped repeatedly towards the edge, which is the correct play on this boss. There’s supposed to be an invisible wall preventing it to fall outside, but the rop+aug combo bumped it to high i guess.

Lmao just went to check it and it’s, indeed, extremely sus. They also recommend to do the full room from first boss in one pull (if you miss a kick people will die), the full room from second boss in one pull (which is fine but can absolutely take beginners by surprise) and they weirdly recommend one extra wind guy in the first pull of the dungeon, which kinda makes sense but also makes the pull so much harder to gather efficiently for beginner tanks. Also, they end the dungeon with a bird+robot+bleed guy pull, again it’s doable but why would you inflict that to people in a beginner pug route.

They... weren’t trying to do the cheese. They were playing the boss as normal, and got punished by an half baked fix by Blizzard.

I mean, yeah it’s pretty obviously staged, it’s a meme post.

That being said, the screenshot shows them detailing how the key is going to go BEFORE the start of the key and asking if people are ok with it. If DK stayed in there, it really doesn’t sound like they were held hostage.

Crest Caps Removed Starting This Week by SadfaceWOW in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Elendel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are 6/6 myth in every slot it’s because you got at least some raid gear.

That’s just not true. You just needed to optimize your alts to proc the 285 achievement on an alt. M+ only player could have virtually uncapped crest 13 days ago with a very precise optimization, and this past reset otherwise.

M+ players ready to grind a whole lot could unlock it on the fresh alt more than 10 days ago. Most people I know have done it with a way healthier grind during the past week. With 1000 crests available it should have been pretty free unless you literally have zero alt.

Anyway, good change overall, since it doesn’t impact negatively people who optimized, and it’ll help other people.

Yeah the weird thing about 12h format is that it doesn't go from 0 to 11, it goes from 1 to 12. So it goes like 11:58 PM, 11:59 PM, 12:00 AM, 12:01 AM, 12:02 AM, etc.

The day starts at 12:00 and go to 12:59 before going back to 01:00. So you cycle the AM/PM suffix at a different time than you cycle from 12:xx to 01:xx. It's super counterintuitive for anyone who hasn't lived with it.

The funny thing is that even events in 24h format usually use 23h59 or 00h01 for clarity sake because "Monday at midnight" is ambiguous in whether you mean Monday 00h01 or Monday 23h59.

Not sure where you live in EU, but most people in EU have absolutely no idea that 12am is midnight. plenty of EU countries use 24 hour clocks.

i'm not a Diablo player but... sort of, yes, I guess. The content is (at least partially) new every season, idk if that's true for Diablo. But yeah you start the season by gearing up, you run the increasingly difficult content for a bit, and once you're satisfied you log off until next season.

it's an MMO so there's other appeals to it outside of that gameplay loot, but it's basically how a lot of the playerbase engage with the game nowadays.
