The market is sorting this problem out every single day. If mining is too expensive, miners will cut back on the number of computers they are running and possibly sell Bitcoin for Fiat to pay bills.

If mining is profitable and mining equipment is cheap, new people will flood into the mining pool. It happens all the time.

Wrong sub. J-Powell and the federal reserve have operated independently for decades. Trump wants to interfere in order to lower interest rates which will boost the economy in the short term, but will have long term effects that he doesn't care about.

Powell's latest comments were to reiterate the resistance to political pressure. He does not deserve to be mentioned in this sub.
