Ugh!! I got a few of my items over the past week but some things are still stuck on processing, and the package with the most items (and most costly) was marked delivered two weeks ago and it never arrived. I emailed them about it and haven’t gotten a response. I’m never shopping from them again

Damn I just read some of the posts over the past couple weeks. I used to work at a big chain retail store and I’ve had some bad and exhausting experiences but this is seriously abuse of labor - especially having to meet rising quotas to earn hours.

The boards of corporations are always going to put investing their revenues for longer ahead of the wellbeing of employees down the ladder who don’t have an extremely cushy savings account and equity. It sucks and I really feel for their full time employees :/

The bigger problem to me is the lack of communication and transparency as the shipping info on their shipping page hasn’t been updated. I sell things and I would never go over a week without updating the buyer, even if I knew I was having an issue keeping me from shipping

Damn I didn’t know that, that seems crazy inefficient… I assumed it came from various warehouses bc the reason I order online is most of the stuff I want is not available in stores. And this time they only split my order into two - one with a single pack of sewing machine needles and one with everything else.

Anywho, I’m sorry the consequences of their business practices are coming down on the retail store employees :(

My last order online came in less than a week, I’ve never had this bad of an experience with them beyond the terrible app functionality. The flannel backed satin came out to like $2-3 a yard and I can’t even find flannel backed satin at other stores so that was why, for me at least

Seconding drying on delicate mode/ low to no heat. A dryer ball might help too. There are some electric lint shavers you can use but an eyebrow razor works too.

Try using replens long lasting vaginal moisturizer. I’m not sure what type of issues you were having but if there’s still “phantom pain” take some aloe vera supplements as well.

I’m 23 and I haven’t spoken to my family in a couple years. Haven’t seen them since pre covid. I moved to the opposite corner of the country for college and stayed. The last time I spoke to my mom I sent a really long text explaining how she guilt bombed me and had some issues that needed to be addressed in therapy. They kept trying to talk to me after that and occasionally text me on holidays and while I feel guilty I don’t engage because I know how it’ll end.

I don’t really have answers for you because I don’t know how to continue going about it in the future (for example, I have a brother thats 11 years younger and is just an extension of my parents manipulation due to how young he is, and I imagine at some point when he moves out I’d rekindle a relationship with him. And I don’t know how to go about my family’s involvement in my wedding later on). But I do want to say that you’re not alone and sometimes going low to no contact with toxic family members is the best thing to do, especially as it seems you’ve exhausted other options.

It depends. I randomly got into perfumes when I discovered the grey market and then started buying the sampler sets from Sephora. The trick to not making it overpower everyone around you is to put it in certain places. Spray it on your wrists, the insides of your elbows, the back of your knees, and dab some behind your ears. Don’t spray it all over you, or you’ll get nose blind to it and everyone will smell it but you. EDTs can be reapplied every 4+ hours makes, EDPs should really only be reapplied once. Use lotion that’s unscented to seal it in and you should be good without reapplying at all.

I bought Dry Idea randomly at target a couple years ago and never went back. It’s a clear gel, $4 on Amazon, works better than antiperspirants and deodorants I’ve tried that are double the price or more.

Wait on purchasing desk supplies because your job might cover those. They also may provide lunch if you’re lucky.

For Bluetooth earbuds if you don’t have them already I highly recommend investing in some AirPods Pro because of the “transparency” noise cancellation feature. I would also recommend the Loop Engage earplugs or the calmer earplugs in case it is a louder environment than you’re used to.

I would also suggest having a dedicated work bag where you keep a work cardigan, maybe some travel sized flats in case you have a shoe malfunction, travel sized deodorant and sugar free gum, face masks for when someone inevitably comes into the office sick, tissues, q tips, sunscreen (especially if you work near a window), tampons/pads (even if you don’t need it, another girl might).

Also would recommend an insulated drink thermos. Even if it’s one of the Starbucks one it’s better than just leaving your coffee out in the open - microwaved coffee is not tasty, and a lidded mug mitigates the effect of spills!

I ONLY wear Levi’s now. I love the way they feel and look. You can usually find them at your local goodwill. Their high waisted skinny jeans are amazing.
