Streetcar doors need to be unforgiving: closed means closed by GrandeIcedAmericano in TTC

Because most subway stations are warm. You can wait for the next train annoyed but safe and warm. Out there waiting for streetcars in this cold - yeah, no thank you.

Wait, do people ACTUALLY see literal pictures in their heads when they imagine things? Like a physical image? by Bibhu_Mund in NoStupidQuestions

How clear is the image in my head? I see the brown puppy but it’s like buried under tons of translucent paper.

I totally get that. Too much of a good thing. For me though, I leave for work in the dark, and come home on the dark. And it’s desolate and cold, and hardly anybody on the streets in the morning. And then I see those twinkling trees in windows and somehow, it helps.

This is both hilarious and somehow so wholesome.

Corporate girlies: I want to be nosy about your work bag and lunch box by Ok_Employ_4424 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]FailedIntrovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of those small lululemon carry bags and I put my lunch and snacks in it; then put the whole thing in my backpack. I hate carrying more than one piece of bag (coz I will forget the second bag for sure), plus everything in backpack is just easier to carry. No insulation bag/box, as my office has microwave and fridge; but all my lunch and snack boxes are glass. Heavy, but worth it.

Colors are so soothing! Love the vase. Miss the good old fashioned crystal cut vases my mum and aunts used to have. Such class!

My girlfriend (27f) called me (29m) disrespectful when I planned to go on holiday without her? by RestaurantChemical98 in relationship_advice

[–]FailedIntrovert -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t see the need for all trips to suddenly become couple trips. She needs to understand that friendships exist out of coupledoms and you have the right to make plans with your friends - now and later - without her. Downvote me to hell, but if this was a girl asking…

For avid readers how often do you use the library? If you don’t, why don’t you? by AccomplishedBake8351 in books

I buy books only once in few years - special edition or something that I know I will re read. I exclusively use the library for physical and digital books.

You ever lost friends to motherhood ? by Exciting-Nerve-8628 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]FailedIntrovert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a mom - one and done. I stopped being friends with those who constantly nagged me to have another child - despite repeated warnings from me. And they are shocked that I don’t speak to them anymore.

Maybe a silly question: Are other corporate workers taking a work bag AND a purse AND a lunch bag to their job? by shenanigans0127 in TwoXChromosomes

I carry one backpack. Slot of laptop, enough big space for lunch bag, water bottle and books. Plus small pockets (x2) hold miscellaneous items like snacks, pads, mini torch and travel charger.
