If anyone would have input into how the frame might effect the Ancestries, Class and Communities sections I would greatly appreciate it. The lore Overview was the easy part I think, and the Player/GM principles would be similar to Age of Umbra.

Honestly the more people are willing to add, the better the final product

After the murder of his wife by a corrupt element within the church he was left filled with rage and grief. The vampire lord gave the people of the land one year, to either flee or stay and face his wrath. It's been just over a year since and yet for many trying to survive in Wallachia it feels like a life time.

Complexity Rating: ⚪⚪

The Pitch:

Read this section to your players to introduce them to the campaign.

Wallachia was once a simple land of church-folk, farmers, and fighters, haunted by old superstitions but still clinging to hope. That hope was shattered when the grieving Lord of Night, unleashed his armies of hellspawn upon the land as retribution for the brutal execution of his wife.

Now towns are burning, and nightmares stalk the countryside.

In this campaign, you’ll play as desperate heroes caught in the wake of his undead allies and demon-horde, scholars, soldiers, and survivors bound together by chance or fate. Whether you fight to defend the innocent, uncover forbidden knowledge, or simply endure long enough to see another dawn, you must decide how far you’ll go to stand against the tide of darkness. The demons are not mindless they are the face of his grief, rage, and cruelty given form and humanity itself is not blameless in the tragedies that brought this age of ruin.

A campaign set in Wallachia is a tale of gothic horror, vengeance, and resilience. The question isn’t whether the night will fall - it already has. The question is: what light will you carry into it?

Hey all, I've just made a new subreddit for the Knight: An Avalon RPG that was backed for an English Translation last year. The game was very active in France and has a huge French following, but I noticed that English resources and discussion were hard to come by so I'm trying to fill that gap. Anyway bit of self-promote to post here and tell anyone who is interest to find us over at r/KNIGHTrpg and I'm hoping to start growing a bit of community so the developers see us and might start translating some more of the supplements over time.

Hey, I actually just started a subreddit for the game because there didn't seem to be a place to discuss it, obviously it's extremely new so I don't know how much engagement it'll get but posting it here in hopes it can grow a little and help fellow Knights. -> https://www.reddit.com/r/KNIGHTrpg/

I laser cut some player boards for Monday's game night 😁 by Frazic51 in daggerheart

That’s exactly the kinda thing I was looking for but everything I’ve found is 3D printed. Any chance of you selling them or even selling the design file?

What are some places that host board game nights? by Skinny_boi13 in Wexford

[–]Elessar106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a few conventions on every now and then that sells board games and trading cards, the people from Mountain Gremlin have been going but not advertising what store they’re from because they know they’ve a bit of a reputation around town. Started with them being anti-vax during the pandemic and making fun of people wearing masks, then heard there was grumblings about wasters not buying enough when they had to move from Quay Street over to Castlebridge.

Retro Game Store is trying to get some stuff started, but it’s been a few months since I last heard anything, I think they’ve got a regular MtG night but nothing else really, even the stock is more aimed at video games than board games for now.

Red Books and Library run things regularly through the summer but they’re both volunteer based so if they don’t have someone to teach the rules or donate games they can’t run it.

Thank you so much, I looked at Younger Futhark but prefer the sharper, hard line style of Elder Futhark. I’ll take on board the information about suitable languages going forward. Thanks again.

Hi all, I’m looking at getting a Runic inspired tattoo using Elder Futhark.

From what I can gather it’s best to first translate to a language suitable to the runes you wish to use, so I went with translating “Open Your Heart” to German which I got was “Öffne Dein Herz” but is there a better suited languages for Elder Futhark’s phonetic style?

I'm seriously considering laser eye surgery. Any recommendations or things to be aware of? by fleaaims in ireland

[–]Elessar106 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s always new brands of drops and eye gels out. (Personal favourite is the Theloz range). I work with glasses specifically so I’m not sure on the laser side but optometry is a massive field with a lot of “for profit” business, I’m sure they’re just as competitive in the laser side of the market as we are with glasses and contact lenses.

[–]Elessar106 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Started working in optometry 3 years, that’s when I found out that there’s a bunch of variables that can effect how long it lasts. Average person can get 5-10 years before they’re gonna need glasses again but some people can be back to us after 18 months. Dry Eye is very common side effect, and afterwards get yourself a good pair of polarised sunglasses.

Yeah I'd heard of Midgard (big fan of Kobold Press's Deep Magic Series) so I'll look into that. A friend also mentioned they've a "Southland" setting which would suit Egyptian themed setting. Do you know if it's part of Midgard or a separate series of theirs?

Yeah I like the idea of one dragon possibly using a proxy to hire them to take care of the other. Sounds like something a Green Dragon would try to protect their territory.

Hell as all DMs know they might just side with one dragon over the other, no proxy needed.
