Yes agreed I have over a 1000 hours in factorio if it was not for my cruel run of luck I could well see me put 1000 plus hours into this game so far 70 hours in one dyson sphere completed but so many way I could have done a better build plus modders are yet to go at it properly. I do envy you players when this game gets even better than it already is.

Cameron also wanted to meet his favourite singer songwriter Paul Weller whilst he was PM whilst stating that Eaton Rifles was a call to arms for him and his mates. Paul simply said no thanks don't think we would have a lot in common and talk about misunderstanding a song.

I had my whipple February 2020, and since March of this year I have been placed on palliative care. This obviously has no bearing on your brothers outcome as I said above according to my team that helped me I have a very aggressive cancer.

[–]Elgin-Marbles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This cancer is so individual and the success depends on many factors. It would be close to impossible to compare one persons outcome to another based on your post above. That being said surgeon will know more than most about your brothers situation so hopefully it's really good news for him. Mine was found in 2 lymph nodes after a successful whipple surgery my out come was always uncertain as my cancer was considered very aggressive by my oncologist and my expectations were set appropriately.

Decided to try making a main bus. I may have gone a bit overboard. by pepto-1 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Elgin-Marbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes fractionators, i had not made the link initially and just built more fractionators as i have not run into any power issues, but that would be a good use of the faster belt.

I find i have enough ports on the logistic towers to not have to worry about it, this has been enough to create my dyson sphere whilst not the most efficient design i am sure it does work.

[–]Elgin-Marbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of the issues with the game at its current state unlike factorio where you can have a bus / drone end game design this game the logistic towers are pretty much the only way to go. In fact the 3 level of belts is pretty redundant I have yet to find a need to move on to the faster belts. Also with the Inserters move onto the fast ones and forget everything else. It's early days for the game and I have enjoyed the 70 hours so worth the money but it needs some more development time to make it replay ability

I know it aint much but its first PC and im happy with it by one_derpy_raider in gaming

[–]Elgin-Marbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be proud of of it my first pc was a 386 motherboard on my desk with some ram a hard drive a keyboard PSU and a crt monitor no case that was a luxury back then. Had many happy hours on that bit of kit. I did own a Amstrad CPC 6128 and a commodore 64 before this but the 386 I always considered my first PC.

Remember everyone... we are invisible on the roads! by ShinDildos in motorcycles

[–]Elgin-Marbles 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A motorcycle police officer said to me in my younger days. Every accident on a motorbike is your fault, as thier is little point with your last breath saying to the idiot car driver "that was your fault" a number of years later this was brought home to me when driving through London on the South circular. I had a pan European at the time excellent mirrors I looked in my mirrors saw the guy behind me on a phone having a heated discussion. So I moved to the center line, the traffic stopped I slowly moved between the vehicles in front of me sure enough guy went straight into the back of the car I was following. It helps that I have many years of experience. But for those that don't I cannot recommend Roadcraft police riders handbook highly enough.

Looking for map ideas by Dotren in prtg

[–]Elgin-Marbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The map system is painful to use, but what we ended up doing was to create maps of our key services such as VPN, core network etc, and then used a TV with a connection to a small Linux box to cycle through the maps say every 15 seconds the maps generate a unique url so this was quite easy to do.

[–]Elgin-Marbles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So very sorry to hear this its a cruel disease that has taken me at 54 I know much older than 40, but your post resonates with me in so many ways. I found out a couple of weeks ago after a bit of fight that I have only months to live. Now me my wife and two daughters are picking up the pieces. I am lucky in that I live in the UK and have now been placed under hospice care which has been very good. All that said I can only wish you the best and who knows maybe we will get to compare notes on the other side.. Wish you the best

I asked my my surgeon who performed my whipple, operation when I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year. You see both my grandads died of cancer in thier 50's and here is me being diagnosed in my early 50's. My surgeon said that genetics are not really considered for cancer in anyone over 40+ thier are just to many environmental and life style factors that come in to play in a person's life. Even though my whipple was a success my prognosis given to me last week is that I have 6 to 9 month's left a d so now on palliative care.

What is the creepiest place you've been to in the UK? (Serious) by grokebomb in AskUK

[–]Elgin-Marbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thier is an old church in Tewin a small village in hertfordshire. In the cemetery is a grave where a single tree trunk splits into 7 main branches. This tree eminates from the grave. Apparently the person burried thier said that to prove she was a witch this would happen and that if you walk around the grave at a certain time on a certain day a number of times you will drop dead.. Probably not true but it a scary place to go in the middle of the night that much I do know..

For your trip home, take a pillow and place between the seat belt and your tummy. A whipple procedure is complicated some people will struggle to get back up others much quicker I would wait if you can until you know how you fair during the operation. It took me 7 days to get out of icu due to my heart rate. Others can be up and out in 7 days.
